I love women: Shah Rukh

As celebrity guest in the hit chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein, Shah Rukh Khan is at his candid best and shares his secrets for happy and healthy marriages. Some of them were:

1. "This is my suggestion to all the men: Whenever your wife calls, quickly answer / respond, even if it means telling lies, whatever lie it may be, like you don’t need to tell her with whom you’re having a bath etc ... as long as you can you respond to her call and say ‘yes, darling I love you too, muawh, muawh’!"

2. "Mujko genuinely aisa lagta hain ... ki bhagwan hai, allah hain, khuda hain, god hain aur agar uske baad koi hain toh who auraat hain ... And I believe that aurton ki izzat honi chahiye ... unse pyaar hona chahiye ... isiliye main hamesha kehta hoon that I truly and absolutely LOVE WOMEN!"

3. "Girls are good if you just listen to them in small things, say yes to everything they ask for, don’t do any of it and you get by very easily in life ... "

4. "They need time and when she gives me so much freedom, it's my duty, dharm to do what she likes. I have never come home and said I am tired, because main jo thaaka hua hoon apne kaam mein thakka hua hoon ... at home, my time is for my wife and my children, I cannot go wrong with them."

5. "Any man who is comfortable in letting his wife be is the real man and any man who is uncomfortable letting his girlfriend / wife be is an absolutely insecure wimp and foolish man."

Shahrukh washes his wife’s feet every morning!

Can you imagine that King Khan every morning washes his wife’s feet and drinks the water? Yes, this masaladar truth directly came from the horse mouth, Shahrukh Khan. Shahrukh Khan is his wife’s man. He idolizes Gauri and he has already proved himself a dedicated husband. He revealed the secret to host Farah Khan on the chat show, ‘Tere Mere Beech Mein’. He worships Gauri and for his ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’ nature, he was awarded the ‘Joru Ka Gulaam’ award.

Shahrukh Khan even admitted that before marriage he was very possessive about Gauri and debarred her from wearing mini-skirts and T-shirts. “But I promised her the minute we married that I'd never behave in such a rotten manner. She would never feel curbed from doing anything. I was only insecure till we were married because I didn't know if she belonged to me like I belonged to her,” stated Khan.

Shahrukh went on to say that his son Aryan now doesn’t like his mother to wear long covered clothes as he feels she is the most beautiful woman.

The nominee for the ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’ award was Abhishek Bachchan (for Aishwarya Rai), Anil Ambani (Tina Ambani), Hrithik Roshan (Suzzane), Sachin Tendulkar (Anjali), Akshaye Kumar (Twinkle) but it was Shahrukh Khan who walked away with the award. On receiving the award, Shahrukh said, “Yeh mera haq hain aur maine haq se jeeta hai!”

Shah Rukh Khan wrapped up filming for Karan Johar directed My Name is Khan late night on Wednesday, September 30.

The delighted director tweeted:

shahrukh just wrapped on MNIK...he has been so amazing through the shoot...he deserves every bit of his legendary status!!

Earlier Johar had tweeted:

the energy and aura a shahrukh-kajol shoot has is enigmatic...and beyond...

Shah Rukh plays an autistic character in the film for which he delligently researched and practiced. Johar said he was "blown away by Shah Rukh who had done monumental research on his autistic character in the film. I was zapped by how much he knew about the subject."

The last schedule of the film was in Mumbai and started in mid September. Shah Rukh had some tough shots. He was neck deep in water for two days. While the crew had waterproof gear to protect themselves, Shah Rukh didn't and was all wrinkled at the end of it. Johar was ecstatic with the footage of that scene.

Production will wrap up on October 2 after which the film will go into post production.

Back in August Karan Johar was reported to have signed a Rs 1 billion deal with Fox Studios to market and distribute the film. The film is slated for a February 2010 release.

Looking ahead, Shah Rukh will act/voiceover and produce a sequel to his two decade old TV serial, Fauji. He will play father to his character Abhimanyu Singh giving him inspirational pep talk. There will be no grey hair and he will be in a army makeover of sorts.

In his next film, Subhash Kapoor penned/helmed Jolly LLB, Shah Rukh will play a legal eagle, his first tryst with the bar in films. He is also a co-producer of the film.

In Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet Shah Rukh Khan will team up wtih Aamir Khan and Joihn abraham. The film will be presented by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire).

Shah Rukh is also set for his fourth outing wtih Aditya Chopra for Dhoom 3. In it he plays a negative role, in stark contrast with the romantic hero roles that he essayed in his earlier Chopra directed films - Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Mohabbatein (2000) and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).

Shah Rukh Khan makes Rituparna Sengupta’s dream come true

Shah Rukh Khan has many admirers. But little did he realize that he would be helping someone realize her dreams this Durga Puja.

For Rituparna Sengupta, this year’s Durga Puja has been very eventful. Reminiscing about the time she spent with Khan, she said, “I finally shot with my screen idol. On the seventh day of Durga Puja, I shot an ad with Shah Rukh. For the Sona Chandi Chawanprash commercial, we were paired together as a couple.”

A busy actress Sengupta seldom shoots during the annual Durga Puja. She admitted, “For us Bengalis, shooting during the festivities is sacrilege. I never shoot as I would rather spend time with my family. Time flies during this period as I am always shopping, eating and dressing up. But this year was an exception as it meant working with SRK.”

Sengupta met Khan earlier when he had invited her to Eden Gardens to watch Kolkata Knight Riders play in the first edition of the Indian Premier League. Thereafter she joined him for a thalassemic awareness drive in Kolkata.

Sengupta however, had more to say about her hero. She said, “It is such a co-incidence that I am also doing a film called SRK with Vinay Pathak. It looks like that I have more than my fair share of SRK this year.”

Sengupta shot with Khan for a day for the ad.
