Ranbir Kapoor in awe of Shahrukh Khan

The newest stud in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, is merely four films old, but he is already being compared to the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.

Well this comparison comes easy, as Ranbir does romantic scene with as much ease as the suave Shahrukh Khan, who is a veteran in enacting romantic scenes.

When we asked Ranbir about this, he said, “I think comparing me with Shahrukh Khan would be like insulting him. Till now, I have done only 3 films, which are by no ways a parameter to compare me with him. In my last film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ I have played a romantic character, where in ‘Rocket Singh –Salesman of the year’ there is romance, but on a different level.”

Well however hard Ranbir might try to deny, the fact remains that people like him in romantic roles, as he sure is a charmer! No doubt Ranbir must be happy to be compared with Shahrukh, after all it is SRK who is the benchmark of success in Bollywood these days.

Shahrukh Khan is the “Salesman of the year” and the ‘biggest’ salesman too!

No, the title is not wrong! It is Shahrukh Khan, the Salesman of the Year who is standing with the same title as Ranbir Kapoor. While Ranbir has the title of Salesman of the Year for his latest flick Rocket Singh, here we have another superstar to have the accolade.

Shahrukh could be called the Salesman of the Year as his magic is the profit bringer for Linc pens. Shahrukh has renewed his contract as the brand ambassador for Linc pens and extended the deal for another year.

It all happened so that Linc management felt that their sales are high since Shahrukh has been with them as the brand ambassador. That’s why they had decided to cash on SRK to keep increasing their brand visibility to sky limit.

An ever so gentleman Shahrukh said, “It has been wonderful being a part of the Linc team for the past year and I am glad to continue the association. Over the years, Linc is one of the most trusted brands in the Indian writing pen industry and I am happy to be associated with the Linc family.”

As a matter of fact SRK has endorsed maximum brands on TV in 2008-2009 according to a recent survey by TAM Media Research as his name is saleable like anything. He has been endorsing 39 brands at present including Nokia, Pepsi, Hyundai, Airtel, Emami, Videocon, Sun Feast, Tag Heuer, Dish TV and Linc.

Linc, one of the largest branded pen industries, never had a celebrity brand ambassador till it had chosen Shahrukh Khan. They felt SRK is someone who personifies style, entertainment and popularity and the characters resonate well with their products and brand attributes. So he fit so well!

Hmmm…well chosen by Linc! Shahrukh would definitely get you higher in industry and we mean it. After all, the King Khan is the ‘biggest’ salesman of the year!
