Shah Rukh Khan In Paul Schrader Venture

Hollywood screenplay writer Paul Schrader is said to have hinted on casting Bollywood Ka Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, in his next venture, which is based on the infamous underworld of Mumbai. Shah Rukh is currently gearing up to star in Danny Boyle’s ‘Bombay Velvet’, which will be directed by ace director, Anurag Kashyap.

Reports claim that Schrader has joined hands with Mushtaq Shiekh and Anubhav Sinha for producing the $10 million-budgeted movie, which has been titled as ‘Xtrme City’. The information regarding the movie was disclosed by David Weisman’s ‘Vanishing Cinema LLC’, in the presence of Mushtaq Shiekh and Anubhav Sinha.

Sha Rukh has worked with Sheik for his Om Shanti Om and is currently working of sci-fi thriller ‘Ra1’.

The movie, which will be shot for audiences across the world, is supposed to be an action thriller, which is set in “brutal, impenetrable, criminal orbit of Mumbai”.

“Spending time in India and working with a Bollywood talent like Shiekh has inspired and excited me to make a film accessible and meaningful to both Indian and American cultures,” said Schrader in a statement issued to the media.

Dave Whatmore appointed as KKR coach

Dave Whatmore will succeed John Buchanon as coach of Shah Rukh Khan owned IPL Franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, sources said.

The long-time deadlock came to end today when KKR have announced the appointment of Dave Whatmore as the coach of the team.

If sources are to be believed the former Sri Lankan coach has been unanimously selected for the KKR coach Job.

Several candidates including Wasim Akram, John Wright, Richard Pybus Duncan Fletcher, Dermot Reeve were interviewed by the team management and finally decided to Whatmore as its coach.

The Wahtmore will coach the KKR while Sourav Ganguly will lead the KKR in third Edition of IPL in 2010.
