When Shah Rukh wore his sisters tights!

Shah Rukh Khan in his sister’s tights may sound little weird to his fans but yes our Bollywood superstar has done that when as a kid.

King Khan who is shooting for ‘Ra.One’ reveals that he used to love superheroes since childhood and to get into his superhero costume he used to take his sister’s help. “When I was a kid I used to tie a towel on my neck, wear my sister’s tights & my red swimming trunks on top. Also eye mask & wanted to fly.” He reminisces.

Apparently with Anubhav Sinha’s super action flick ‘Ra.One’ it’s just like fantasy come true for Shah Rukh. Though Shah Rukh enjoyed wearing his sister’s tights to get into his superhero costume, unfortunately he doesn’t find his reel life ‘Ra.One’ superhero costume fascinating anymore. “I have realized that the most difficult thing about being a superhero is getting into the superhero garb,” said Shah Rukh.

Shahrukh Khan sounds frustrated

There is no better way to read a star’s mind than on Twitter. Describing minute details to how they are feeling everyday makes good account @Twitter. Shahrukh Khan not only entertains us though his films, he is doing a heck of a ‘tweeting’ job too. And through his Twittering, we learnt that he is a bit frustrated.

And the reason apparently is just one - his sci fi film Ra.One, for which SRK is shooting non-stop nowadays. According to the latest buzz, the star and his director Anubhav Sinha are having creative differences on the sets, leading to a crisis situation.

SRK tweets, “random thought: its so difficult to give form to ur vision, when so many ppl are not only on a different page but reading some other book.” (sic)

But soon he gave his message a humorous twist, “random thought repeat: film making is a collective process but not a democratic one. no more mr. nice guy on the sets from now on ha ha.” (sic)

‘Ra.One’ is not only a dream project but a big dream project for SRK and he is making it on a massive scale by not leaving any stone unturned in terms of production. Experts from Hollywood have been called and SFX are being created like never before.

Being a producer, it’s obvious to get frustrated at times.

My Name is Khan's new avatar to hit America big time

Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan, already the highest grossing Bollywood film abroad with at least $16 million gross, is bracing for another record.

On Friday, it will become the first Bollywood film distributed by a Hollywood company to have a director's cut in release.

Fox Searchlight which distributed the film worldwide and saw its gross reach $39 million, took out advertisements last week in The New York Times for the 'international director's cut'. The ad also displayed a strong review for the film in Los Angeles Time.

The movie was ending its fabulous run in North America in the desi theatres grossing $4 million just as Housefull, a big hit in India [ Images ], opened to lower than expected $650,000. last weekend. If the usual rate of attrition for Bollywood films in North America prevails -- 50 to 60 percent in the second week -- the Akshay Kumar [ Images ], Lara Dutt and Deepika Padukone [ Images ] starrer may end its run with a solid but unspectacular $1.2 million.

This weekend, the performances of Housefull and that of the new My Name Is Khan will be keenly watched.

What exactly is an international director's cut?

"What they have done is to cut the film by about 30 minutes and keep the running time to about two hours," film maker Johar said.

"When we showed them the completed film several months ago, Fox executives said they liked the film a lot but would I mind if they can make a shorter film from it for the non-diasporic audience?"

Johar said, he told them he did not mind it at all. "After all, I want more people to see my films," he said chuckling.

Fox then got Alan Edward Bell, the well-known editor whose last big hit was the independently made (500) Days of Summer to work on the new version along with Johar's editor.

"What they have done is amazing," Johar said. "They have left the songs as they are, trimming a bit here and there. But the film has been streamlined for an international audience. In India, we indulge ourselves a bit because we know our audiences but the sensibilities of an international audience is surely different."

A scene from HousefullThe new avatar of MNIK will have a platform release. It will open in New York and Los Angeles, and if the grosses are encouraging, it will expand to other cities.

'Fox has given the film incredible support and exposure," Johar said. "They welcomed us as if we were part of their family. As someone from India, who like other Indians, values family connections, I felt very much at home working with Fox."

The international edition of Kites, which is presented by Brett Ratner, one of Hollywood's big time film-makers (Rush Hour films, X-Men: The Last Stand) will soon test the crossover market for Bollywood movies.

Housefull, the second consecutive hit for director Sajid Khan [ Images ] (Heyy Baby), grossed $14 million worldwide in its first weekend, the trade publication Variety wrote quoting distributor and co-producer Eros.

The film was expected to gross in the UK and North America more than its take.

About 66 percent of its $14 million gross came from India. In the UK where Akshay Kumar has a bigger market than in America, the $10 million costing film grossed about $410,000. Akshay's Singh Is Kinng [ Images ] and Khambakkht Ishq each opened with more than $700,000 in their first weekend in the UK. But his Blue opened to a slightly lesser number than his newest film.

But overall, its distributors and producer have reasons to smile.

'With its excellent weekend performance, the biggest of the year so far, Housefull has lived up to its name," Eros International Media senior VP distribution Nandu Ahuja told Variety.

Shah Rukh Khan Produces New Children's Musical Show

While most well known as an actor for adults, not to mention his love of cricket (and ownership of a team), Shah Rukh Khan will be performing for a different audience: children. His new show, 'Ishaan,' which is a Sanskrit word meaning "Third Eye of Shiva," is based on a journey taken by a young boy who finds his identity through music.

"I have always enjoyed watching Disney Channel with my kids and I am happy that my company is producing a show that will be part of the Disney family," he said in a press release, talking about 'Ishaan.'

Airing for the first time on May 15, the show will include a soundtrack featuring 11 original songs. Indian television stars such as Shruti Ulfat, Rajinder Mehra and Rajiv Paul will be featured on the show.

The show will certainly get some push for Khan, who starred in the recent post 9/11 blockbuster 'My Name Is Khan,' which is now the highest grossing Bollywood movie of all time. In the movie, Khan (who plays a Muslim character, Rizwan Khan) moves from Mumbai to San Francisco and is the target of racism after the World Trade Center incident. He goes on a national journey where he meets both former president George Bush, as well as Barack Obama, in a film that hopes to mirror the nationalist tendencies that have occurred in the last nine years.
