As soon as he recovers from his shoulder surgery, Shahrukh Khan is expected to finalize a film with Ghajini director A.R. Murugadoss.

Murugadoss has proved his credentials in Bollywood with his very first Hindi film that’s turned out to be a mammoth hit. The director is now working on his second film, which, thankfully, won’t be a violent movie, but a romantic one.

And to star in it, the director has approached Shahrukh, who is learnt to have expressed interest in not just acting in the film, but also producing it.

Reportedly, it was cinematographer Ravi Chandran who suggested Murugadoss to approach SRK. Chandran shot SRK for My Name Is Khan in the US.

Murugadoss admits meeting SRK with the project but says things will be finalized only after the latter recovers from shoulder surgery. Doctors have advised the superstar to avoid hectic work for a few months.

Meanwhile, SRK and Amitabh Bachchan have been felicitated with first FICCI-IIFA's 'Most Powerful Entertainers of the Decade' awards in Mumbai.

On his blog dated 18 February, Amitabh Bachchan had written about messaging Shah Rukh Khan and wishing him a speedy recovery. SRK called him back and thanked him, informing him he was home as he was getting depressed in the hospital and invited Big B over for some games.

Big B warned him not to take post-surgery therapy lightly, not to get into any kind of activity and to take adequate rest. Late last night, Big B visited Shah Rukh Khan at Mannat, his residence. Here are the pictures

Operating Shah Rukh was no easy task: Dr. Sanjay Desai

Shah Rukh Khan is on the road to recovery after his shoulder surgery at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, but that journey is going to take two months of being out of action at the least.

The 43-year-old actor injured himself at the end of last year on the sets of Dulha Mil Gaya but postponed the needed surgery as he didn’t want to disrupt the shooting for Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan.

Now, after finally being operated on, shoulder specialist Dr. Sanjay Desai, who is treating Khan, says, “He cannot move his shoulder for at least two months. He has to follow a certain exercise regime but he cannot do weight training as it will put stress on his shoulder. After a certain age, your bones take time to heal.”

Commenting on the delay of the surgery, Dr. Desai says, “He was injured last year and the operation should have ideally taken place earlier but he was busy shooting and didn’t get the time. The operation itself doesn’t take much time but post-surgery , he has to rest. That is why we decided to go ahead with it now. Believe me, operating on Shah Rukh is no easy task.”

The star has been instructed to take utmost care post the operation. “Stars have very busy schedules and it is compulsory for them to look good but he has to rest for a minimum of two months. He must be careful of his shoulder as he has already had injuries to his spine,” says Dr. Desai.

Shah Rukh shifted from the hospital to his home soon after the surgery. Dr. Desai explains, “He wants to stay with his family but we are there to check up on him daily. When he was at the hospital, everyone from his fans to the media gathered to get a glimpse of him. The funny thing is, before Shah Rukh went in for surgery, even the hospital staff were eager to get a look at him and click pictures. This is what happens when you are a star. He is alright now so when he asked, we told him that it was okay if he wanted to be discharged.”
