First Look: Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'
Yash Raj Films released the first look promo for their upcoming film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi on Sunday, November 2, to coincide with lead star Shah Rukh Khan's 43rd birthday. The promo shows Shah Rukh and debutante Anushka Sharma cavorting to the cheery beats of Haule Haule.
The promo for the film, penned and helmed by Aditya Chopra, is being aired on all television channels from today.
The Music of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, composed by Salim and Suleman Merchant, is releasing on November 6.
As part of a unique marketing strategy, YRF has also installed life-sized 6-feet tall lenticular standees at all theatres, which gives the onlooker a unique view of both the looks of Shah Rukh Khan in the film, when viewed from different angles.
The quickie film was conceived and launched earlier this year to arrest the decline in the fortunes of Yash Raj Films which has delivered box office duds with sickening regularity.
Amidst their past six releases - Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Aaja Nachle (2007), Tashan (2008), Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Roadside Romeo (2008) - only Bachna Ae Haseeno managed to stir the box office.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi hits theatres on December 12.

ShahRukh turns 43, special birthday party is waiting
Share This Post
Shah Rukh Khan turns 43 tomorrow; does that make our king Khan old? No, not at all. He is still the same Rahul of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Raj of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. He is one star who has outwitted the nature's phenomenon of aging. So to make this day a bit special for the Baadshah of Bollywood, his better half Gauri Khan is ready to bring in the day with a small celebration.
Gauri Khan is throwing a party tonight at Mannat for hubby Shah Rukh who brings in his 43rd birthday tonight. Says a source, "Gauri is keeping it very hush-hushand only selected few have bee invited. The funny thing is that while Salman Khan's family has been invited, he has been left out."
Of course the usual crowd is expected Arjun and MehrRampal, Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder, Malaika and Arbaaz Khan, Sohail and Seema Khan, Sajid Khan, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Karan Johar, Anu and Sunny Dewan, Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
