Shahrukh to attend Veer's premiere?

The headline seems too hard to believe but this might just turn out to be true. Shahrukh Khan who attended the premiere of Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots might attend the premiere of the movie Veer which stars his sworn enemy Salman Khan. Although Salman had also attend the premiere of 3 Idiots the two warring Khans had avoided each other at the event.

A lot has changed in the last few days and the Shahrukh and Salman seem to be inching towards a dignified truce. Salman had extended the olive branch by calling up My Name Is Khan director and giving his feedback on the trailer of the movie staring Shahrukh. King Khan returned the gesture by saying that Veer was one movie he was eagerly waiting for.

Now as Salman Khan does the final bit of promotion for his period movie it would be a great idea to invite Shahrukh Khan for the premiere. A generous Shahrukh will definitely not like to miss a golden change to patch up with his old friends Salman again. Both the stars know how odd it becomes when the come face to face.

Shah Rukh turns poet

Bollywood superstar and Twitter newbie Shah Rukh Khan is now showing a poetic streak. In a series of recent tweets on the microblogging site, 'IamSrk' has come out with his own take on poet laureate Rabindranath Tagore's famous vision of India.

"Watched news on tv tonite & thought of the poem by great rabindranth tagore. at risk of being lynched i kind of updated it. here goes," Shah Rukh writes.

"where our lives r without fear, & the media is beyond lies. where water is free. where the states don't want to break into fragments.

where words r not just words. where economy is not hampered by selfish gains. where mere reasons r not given for rise in prices," he subsequently tweets.

Shah Rukh has recently been vocal about his displeasure with the government over the treatment of hockey players. The actor recently joined Twitter where among other things, he also lets his fans know his views on current happenings.

He has also not shied away from taking a stand on political issues. Replying to NDTV Group Editor Barkha Dutt's tweet "Sessions court asks Soren to appear in relation to a murder case. Guess makes no diff to pol parties who have supported him, past or present", this is what Shah Rukh wrote: "dont stress over political parties...for them if 2 wrongs dont make a right..(hey always try a third."

Within days of joining Twitter, King Khan seems to have become as popular in the cyberworld as he is in real life. He has over 71,000 followers and according to some reports, is among the most re-tweeted Twitter users.

"Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life," Shah Rukh had earlier posted on his Twitter page.

"Thanks everyone, this is really sweet...didn't expect such a warm welcome. Love to you all," he added.

The superstar was hardly seen on big screen in 2009 except in Billu, and explaining the reason behind his absence, he wrote: "Injury has kept me away from making more films. Will work my back off to be around more... the shoulder feels strong and so do I."

In February last year, Shah Rukh underwent an arthroscopic surgery for acute pain in his left shoulder at the Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai.

He is now gearing up for the release of his much-talked about film My Name is Khan which also stars Kajol.

Aishwarya Rai bonds with Shahrukh Khan!

Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash was an occasion for the Bachchans and Khans to bury their past differences and whip up a new bonhomie.

While Abhishek Bachchan, always chilled out, has never had any differences with Shahrukh Khan or his wife Gauri, Aishwarya Rai, we all know, wasn’t on talking terms with the King Khan for a span of many years after she was dropped unceremoniously from his film ‘Chalte Chalte’.

The thaw in the chill between Ash and SRK began to set in last year, but their friendship wasn’t resuscitated enough for them to work together again. The two were last seen together on big screen in Devdas in 2002.

However, the camaraderie between SRK, Gauri, Abhi and Ash at Hrithik’s party had to be seen to be believed. SRK was in a jovial mood and discussing his upcoming film Ra.One with the couple. He reportedly even asked Ash to make a cameo appearance in the film

According to a source, there is a character in the film who is Ash’s greatest fan. Ash is required to play herself for just a scene when the fan meets her.

Whether Ash agreed to play the cameo is not known. However, what’s crystal clear is that both SRK and Ash have let bygones be bygones and might work together sooner than we expect.

In fact, after the bash, the two couples drove to SRK’s home Mannat in the same car. Still in a mood to party, the quartet put on some music and it was Abhishek who pulled SRK’s wife Gauri to the dance floor.
