Amitabh Bachchan, ShahRukh Khan: Opposites Attract!

We all have heard of the eternal truth ‘Opposites Attract’, and what better way to prove this theory than our dear bollywood stars.Take for example Amitabh Bachchan and his equally famous wife Jaya Bachchan (Bhaduri). During the time that the two were to get married, Jaya was at the peak of her career and was one of the top actresses of her time. Amitabh had just kept his foot in the industry and was beginning to make a mark for himself. As both of them got married there was a great furrore all over, he was a tall and thin actor yet to make a name for himself, she was the petite actress very much the heart throb of the nation and one that all young guys would give their right hand for.
Yet, after marriage and two kids she gave it all up to settle for domestic bliss, he on the other hand climbed on the ladder to succeed as the next super star after Rajesh Khanna.The angry young man image remained with him for a long time. Even as time passed he was linked with several of his co-stars, but his strong marriage to jaya and the trust they had in each other was a great factor in making this couple one of the most respected ones in the film industry.
ShahRukh khan was one person who entered the industry with a woman in his life whom he loved very much, Gauri Khan. He was a nondescript newcomer in the industry yet to make it big; she was the daughter of an army officer who had been very shy of the limelight. When the two were dating, Gauri’s father was not a very happy person as SRK was not established in any career at that point of time. Yet, marriage bells came calling and the two got married. Then came the success of the actor and in no time he was the King of Bollywood. The extrovert ShahRukh managed to change his wife to a media savvy person and thus a confident Gauri emerged with a fitter and classic image who adorned the cover of a famous international magazine and recently even walked the ramp with her husband in tow.
Well, there are innumerable stars and examples of good marriages but these are the two most sought after and looked up to in the industry, so just lets cross our fingers and adore their marital bliss!
