KKR coach to be decided by next month: SRK

Kolkata Knight Riders team owner Shah Rukh Khan said on Monday that the management will take time to make a final decision on the coach.

"It is a process. It will take another 3 to 4 meetings before we decide. We will decide by the middle or end of the month," SRK said.

He also ruled out John Wright being the front-runner for the job.

"There are lots of people in the running. We are looking for a team that is fully available," he added.

On his friend-turned-foe Salman Khan being interested in buying an IPL team, SRK said the IPL was a good product and anyone could bid for a team.

Shah Rukh also rebutted the reports of Ganguly taking over as the captain in the absence of Brendon McCullum.

"Lots of players may not be available, like Ponting, and even Gayle. We will see. Lots of time for that. First will decide on coach, then captain then team - all that only in December.

SRK also acknowledged that a letter was sent to the BCCI seeking reason for snapping ties with the International Management Group, the event management company.

These are big IPL decisions. We only ask to be kept in loop. We make lots of sponsorship decisions on the basis of the backbone of IPL. The letter is only for that.
