Shah Rukh Khan goes the extra mile for an old friend

Shah Rukh Khan has agreed to complete filming of his cameo appearance in Mudassar Aziz directed Dulha Mil Gaya, after having walked out the film that headlines Sushmita Sen and is produced by Shah Rukh's good friend Vivek Vaswani.

Shah Rukh walked out because he felt Vaswani had stretched his role beyond the original one song sequence that Shah Rukh had committed for, and was using his stretched cameo to sell the film.

Filming for the song on a cruise liner was abandoned during the last schedule because of heavy rain.

It was to resume in March but SRK, who is hosting Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? for Star Plus starting March, had no dates and told Vaswani that he would not be able to complete the film.

Vivek Vaswani, who helped Shah Rukh when he initially arrived in Mumbai, pleaded with Shah Rukh and the large hearted Khan relented.

"Shah Rukh will now complete the film only for Vivek's sake," a source told TOI.

Besides Vivek Vaswani, Sushmita Sen too is likely to be relieved by Shah Rukh's decision.

The former Miss Universe has had a string of failures with films like Chingaari, Zindaggi Rocks and Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. Her stock as an actress is pretty low, something that could come in the way of her ambitious plans to produce 'Rani Lakshmi Bai, The Warrior Queen.' She needs to earn the money that she plans to spend on producing the film and a hit could help her do just that.

Dulha Mil Gaya is being filmed in the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. It additionally stars Fardeen Khan, Tara Sharma and Johnny Lever.
