Shah Rukh Khan wants to be a porn star!

King Khan Shah Rukh is broadening his horizons, the actor recently said he wants to be the biggest porn star there is.

At the recent unveiling of management guru and dean of IIPM Arindam Chaudhari’s new book Discover the Diamond in You, Shah Rukh Khan was all praise for the book and the author. ‘It will take just 59 minutes to complete the book, but I took 45’ said the witty SRK who looked dapper in his suit at the book launch. The actor spoke of the inspiration he received from the book, and said that he finally had the courage to take up his dream job of becoming a porn star. ‘I promise you guys, I will be the biggest porn star there is,’ he signed off.

Shah Rukh had the media in splits with his witty sarcasm and the actor, who shares a great relationship with Arindam, spoke of the author’s efforts in bringing about a progressive thinking among individuals today. SRK and Arindam last teamed up when Shahrukh signed a three-year deal with IIPM to host its annual business and marketing quiz programme. At the book launch, the duo shared great camaraderie. Shah Rukh was seen speaking of Arindam’s stylish persona.

The porn star bit arised when Shah Rukh expressed at the event that the diamond within him was that of a kinky one. The actor has never shied away from risqué topics in the past and had even expressed his desire to do a condom commercial. SRK has publicly claimed in the past to be a try-sexual - meaning he will try anything sexual once, so it's not far what he could achieve in the porn industry - a huge sellout. Neha Dhupia once said that in India only sex and SRK sell. We think that will become, 'Only sex with SRK sells'.

However, a source close to the actor pointed out, ‘Shah Rukh is making sure he’s all over town with several events and meets, considering the fact that he has no major release this year. He was present at the 26/11 Taj memorial in Delhi, the Bombay Times party, at Sachin’s 20 year celebration, the Paa premiere and now this. He’s making sure his many public appearance can make up for the no-release this year. He does a great balancing act, and is creating quite a big buzz for his releases next year.’

Dada Khan do it!

Confirming SRK's presence, Sanjoy Chatterjee, senior vice-president and business head from the channel, says, "On December 13, there will be a 10,000 strong crowd at Mohammedan Sporting Grounds. Amidst laser display and fire works, the Badshah will make his entry on stage. Interestingly, SRK will not be a mere front row spectator. He will also play on a rotational basis for competitors from each district at Dadagiri's grand finalé.

Whichever district wins will contribute a portion of the prize money towards the welfare of the district. Invites for the D-day have been sent out to noted film personalities from Tollywood too." Ask him whether SRK will be fielding Ganguly's film googlies and Sanjoy signs off with, "That's a surprise."

Linc Pen renews endorsement contract with SRK

Linc Pen, a leading player in the branded pen industry, today said it has renewed its brand endorsement contract with film star Shahrukh Khan, who has helped sales grow by as much as 15 per cent.

Shahrukh has been the brand ambassador for Linc Pen for the past one year. Last year, sales grew by seven per cent.

"We have renewed the contract with him (Shahrukh Khan) for another year. His association with the brand has been very rewarding for us and has helped increase the brand visibility and boosted our sales figures as well," Linc Pen & Plastics Managing Director Deepak Jalan said here.

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan wax poetic at Ambanis' Tendulkar bash

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, the good businessmen that they are, did not let their rivalry come in the way when presented a chance to mingle with the Reliance head honcho!

Mukesh and Neeta Ambani celebrated Sachin Tendulkar's 20 years in international cricket by hosting a bash at their house, Seawind at Cuffe Parade in Mumbai on Sunday night, December 6.

The Ambani couple own the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL and Sachin is the captain.

The 300 odd party guests included Preity Zinta, an IPL owner as well.

Zinta tweeted:

Nita had a party to celebrate Sachin Tendulkar's 20 years in cricket last night ! Srk and Aamir rocked it and boy his wife is so pretty !

Aamir and Shah Rukh recited poems for the celebrated cricketer.

Aamir, accompanied by wife Kiran and his new film 3 Idiots director Raju Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, said, "I recited the lines 'Khudi ko kar buland itna ki har takhdir se pehle khuda bande se khud pooche, bata teri raza kya hai' for Sachin. The lines fit him very well."

Politician makes first move at ‘Paa’ premiere

After the kidney transplant operation in Singapore, politician Amar Singh has definitely come back a changed person. He does not seem to hold any grudges against anyone now.

At the premiere of “Paa” on Dec 3, it was quite evident that he has buried the hatchet with Shah Rukh Khan, with whom he had got embroiled in a war of words after SRK’s Newark airport detention incident.

At the premiere however, he was seen bonding big time with SRK and wife Gauri.

In fact, Amar Singh made the first move and personally went to Screen no. 3 where Karan, SRK and family and Yash Birla were seated even though he had his seats with the Bachchans in Screen no. 2.

Amar Singh said that he had just come up to say hello as he had not met Shah Rukh for quite some time. On the other hand SRK too was very cordial with him. He asked him to come over to Mannat someday and even let him know when he wants to come.

The pleasantries lasted for a good ten minutes with lot of industry people looking on in shock.

The entire industry turned up for the premiere to congratulate the Bachchans. Only people absent or rather not invited were Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Katrina Kaif and Viveik Oberoi – don’t we know the reason for their non appearance? What say Abhi and Ash?

Shah Rukh Khan´s ´Ra-1´ To Be Shot From February 2010

We have seen Shah Rukh Khan as a super hero in Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om', but only as one of the characters of the film. And now gear up to see him playing a full fledged super hero in Anubhav Sinha's 'Ra-1'.

As per trade sources, the film is expected to go on floors from February 2010, to coincide with King Khan's 'My Name Is Khan', that will release globally on the 12th of February, next year.

'Ra-1' is expected to release in late 2010, if things go as per scedule.

Shahrukh Khan & Kajol gets praises for performance in MY NAME IS KHAN!

We have all heard about the movie which will pair the golden couple of the film industry Shahrukh Khan and Kajol after a decade, named MY NAME IS KHAN! Well this time its Priety Zinta who went on praising Kajol in delhi as she is the Brand ambassador of Dabur Vatika.

“I saw some of the film’s (My Name Is Khan) footage and she is outstanding in it and so is Shahrukh and I think it will be great movie. She even said that nobody could have done the role better than Kajol.(PTI). “Look at Kajol. She goes and gets married, has a kid.

Almost every actress in few decades ago use to bid good bye to the film industry once they tied knot but the concept has changed completely in today’s time. Marriage doesn’t mean an end to the filmy career! It means to put a break for sometime till your child needs you and then come with a bang and hit the screen as we have seen in case of Kajol, the black beauty of the film industry.

We wish her all the best with her film and hope the golden duo creates that same magic as we have seen in Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gum.

Karan Johar: MNIK point of view is defensive, not offensive

With KURBAAN being a thing of the past, one can expect Karan Johar to have indeed moved on. His biggest film till date, MY NAME IS KHAN, is up for release this Valentines Day and one can expect the promotion to begin any time. Though one can trust Karan and Co. to have come up with an altogether different storyline for both MY NAME IS KHAN and KURBAAN, one wonders whether thematically there are any similarities.

"Not at all", shoots back Karan, "MY NAME IS KHAN is a completely different film. The film is set at a larger scale thematically and is about global perception. Moreover, it is totally emotionally based. The film doesn't have any religious or spiritual undertone to it but basically sends across the message of humanity."

Karan, who has produced as well as directed MY NAME IS KHAN, says that the film brings with it an altogether different point of view.

"This time around, the point of view is defensive, not offensive", he explains, "The film belongs to a totally different world. When you understand the protagonist (played by Shah Rukh Khan) and his belief in humanity, you would understand the heart and soul of the film."

Starring Kajol as the lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan, the film also features Jimmy Sheirgill, Soniya Jehan, Zarina Wahab, Parvin Dabbas, Arif Zakaria, Navneet Nishan, Sheetal Menon, Tanay Chheda and Arjun Mathur. With music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, MY NAME IS KHAN releases all over on 12th February.

Shahrukh bangaya budda!

Yeah you would have guessed it… Hamara SRK have coloured his hair grey for an act.

Shah Rukh Khan, the brand ambassador of Dish TV, will feature as a 75-year-old man for their new ad concept, ‘Ghar Aayi Zindagi’. He will share the screen in this one with Tanvi Azmi. Adman Prasoon Joshi has done the concept while ‘Kites’ fame Anurag Basu has directed this commercial. McCann Erickson has undertaken the campaign.

Revealing about the ad, the director shared, “The story is very cute. Tanvi Azmi is playing Shah Rukh’s wife. They’re hiding inside their room and are dancing.” He added that there is a beautiful chemistry between them.

He said that initially they were apprehensive whether Shahrukh will accept the old character. “We didn’t know if SRK will agree to the idea. I didn’t want to make him Veer Zaara kinda old. It had to be different. So, pehle Shah Rukh ko buddha banaya humne pictures mein, and then showed it to him. He was very sporting and loved the idea,” recalled Basu. Then the director went on to share an interestingly cute gupshup. He said that after the whole get-up was done, Shahrukh clicked a picture of himself and sent it to Gauri on the phone, asking, ‘Will you still love me when I am old and look like this?’ on this Basu amusingly gushed, “I am sure he will look much more handsome when he is old!”

Talking about the ad, Salil Kapoor, COO of Dish TV said, “In line with the core message of the campaign, Shahrukh Khan will bring alive warm family moments that tug at the heartstrings. Moments that have become a rarity in today’s family.”

Besides this, Shahrukh has one more concept alongside Tisca Chopra where he brings home an orphan girl child who settles into the family only after an experience with Dish TV.
