THE ROAD from Bollywood to the Parliament is not a long one for the Indian film stars, who have been lapped up by the political parties for adding glamour and charisma to catch the imagination of masses.

If political grapevine in Mumbai is to be believed, then Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is likely to be the latest entrant to the world of politics. Khan might get a ticket for a Lok Sabha constituency in Mumbai in the ensuing elections.

Speaking at a press meeting, Mumbai regional Congress committee chief Kripa Shankar Singh gave broad hints that the party could consider Khan as a candidate for the next general elections, if he sought a Congress ticket from the metropolis.

Sources revealed that this move comes as party MP and film star Govinda is not interested in fighting the next elections. In order to fill the void caused by his departure, Congress is likely to consider Shahrukh as a party candidate to add a dash of glamour.

Singh also said that the government had also given residential accommodation to the police officials, who sacrificed their lives in Mumbai attack.

Priyanka, Kareena dance free for SRK!

Shah Rukh Khan who roped in three top Bollywood babes to add masala and vibe to his movie Billo Barber by shaking a leg with them was in for a pleasant surprise.

Their item numbers with SRK are very peppy and have been shot very well. A source close to Deepika said, “Deepika owes it to Shah Rukh for her first break in Bollywood, Om Shanti Om. She did the song out of sheer respect for him.” Well, the King definitely knows how to make the damsels dance. What say, SRK?
