Its’ about loved ones for King Khan

He came, he conquered and still rules millions of hearts. The one name which has crossed all bounds to achieve what he deserves is none other than Shahrukh Khan. The most amazing fact about this star is his personal relationships were never hampered by stardom. SRK still comes across as a Delhi boy who values his close associates with same dignity as he has for his profession.

Let’s take a sneak peek at the beautiful relations Shahrukh share with his family and other close associates in tinsel town.

Inseparable Shahrukh and Gauri Khan: They very rightly say behind every successful man is a woman. And if the woman is the first love eventually the better half like Gauri Khan; man can’t withhold attaining success. So, the name is Shahrukh Khan whose love-story is no less than a film story where a guy can cross a millions oceans to get his love. In fact, more than love, Gauri once Chhiba and now Khan acted likes means to make films happen in Khans’ life. It was after stalking and wooing Gauri to comeback in his life when she went away fro m him to Mumbai; that SRK realized both Bollywood (Mumbai) and Gauri were his ultimate decision. And what happened next is a history now.

real-life hero: The father in Shahrukh can wear many faces for his children. Absolutely adorning himself every way like a father, a teacher, a coach, a friend; Shahrukh makes it to a perfect father. An academically sound, a true sportsman, a youthful heart like SRK brings sense of pride in his children to have a father like him. Despite all his commitments towards his work, he is aware of how to keep up with the expectations of his children which in turn pour him with unconditional love and fills his heart with joy.

SRK unconditional bond with KJO: Shahrukh like a true professional must have had good terms with many families in tinsel town most importantly Yash Chopra who brought new and fruitfuldimensions to his career. King Khan however, shares a special bonding with Karan Johar which didn’t limit till profession but their families.KJO holds a special respect for Shahrukh in fact looks upon him like a mentor. Interestingly, the filmmaker draws a line in his friendship out of this respect and is heard to more pally and comfortable with wife Gauri.

Juhi’s Lucky Ali: Juhi Chawla has been with SRK since the inception of his career be it emotionally or professionally. SRK-Juhi are a rare example in the tinsel town who have been for each other in their respective thick and thins. One can call Juhi second driving force in SRK’s life with due respect to the pious relationship they share. Lucky Ali meaning ‘lucky mascot’ is the name given to SRK by the gorgeous actress. Be it to begin a production house or beginning an IPL team Juhi has had a wonderful journey with Shahrukh. Yes Boss, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and many more showcased the affection the dup shared In real life.

Undeniable chemistry with Kajol: The most lovable couple might have shared an extremely beautiful chemistry on-screen. But more so, the duo’s off-screen pure friendship has been more cherished. Their bonding raised many eyebrows including Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn who apparently happened to withhold conversation with Shahrukh. However, the beauty of their relationship lies in the respect and love in their eyes. Bazzigar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayege, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan. Success of each film talks about their beautiful bond they share.

Award- the real rewards: They say SRK is greedy for awards so much so that he can go to any extent to achieve them. However, such remarks have never bothered SRK for he believes Awards who ignore him are losers why clear a shelf in his house, when he can buy a new house for the awards to come. For SRK, awards are the definition to his success.

The adorable master in SRK: Shahrukh like every relationship of his has a special place for his pet as well. A dog that his loves and pampers like a child. Is mention might be last in the list but he is surely an integral part of his life.

No one can replace Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan has always been there for his close friends in tinsel town. Juhi Chawla is one such friend who can rely on SRK in her thick and thin. Off late, SRK like a good friend has been taking care of stress-stricken Juhi post brain hemorrhage of brother Bobby Chawla.

Depressed Juhi recently was advised to flow off to London for a break. The pretty actress joined her husband Jai Mehta and kids for rejuvenation. Shahrukh too joined Mehtas and gave a good company to Juhi to relieve her stress. SRK also accompanied Juhi while consulting specialists for the betterment of Bobby.

Well, a friend in need is a friend indeed seems to be SRK’s mantra. Listening to this, Juhi surely must have realized that no one can replace a friend like Shahrukh.

Shahrukh Khan spent all day in hospital

Shah Rukh Khan is very worried about his friend Bobby Chawla, who is also the CEO of his company Red Chillies Entertainment. SRK is in Farah's 'Happy New Year', not Big B

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan has rubbished rumours that her upcoming film 'Happy New Year' will see the coming together of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

The 'Om Shanti Om' director said her best friend SRK is the only actor who has been finalised for the movie, which is still in its scripting stage.

"There is no truth in the rumour that Big B is going to star in the film. Besides SRK, I never cast anyone in my film till I have my script ready. As of now, only Shah Rukh and me are in the film," Farah said.

Earlier, it was reported that the 'Main Hoon Naa' director will bring the two actors together in the film. The duo was last seen together in Bhoothnath also starring Juhi Chawla.

The other actors who were said to be working in the movie were Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan and Juhi Chawla, a claim denied by Farah.

Describing the film as "modern and contemporary", the 44-year-old director said it would go on floors this year.

"I would resume my work on the script once I finish shooting for the chat show," she said.

SRK’s top 5 moments with KKR

Shah Rukh Khan lives his life on his own terms: be it his films or his other projects. And for a while, it seemed like King Khan could do no wrong. However, his purchase of the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008 proved that even great men sometimes make wrong decisions. The Knight Riders were bought by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment in partnership with Juhi Chawla and her husband, Jai Mehta. We pick out the top five moments that Shah Rukh has endured with his team.

1. Last year at the IPL, Shah Rukh Khan and Sourav Ganguly disagreed over issues such as team composition, Sourav’s choice of batting first in the game against Chennai Super Kings and the entertainment tax being imposed for the matches played at Eden Gardens (Shah Rukh reportedly wanted Sourav to speak to the West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, about it, but was refused by Sourav).

2. Initially, SRK was very keen to hang out with his team in the dressing room, discussing their strategies for each match. But later, the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit officials stopped Shah Rukh going into the team’s dressing room and the dugout during the IPL match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.

Shah Rukh had then said, “I like to hang around with the boys. I am very energetic. I am very disappointed that the ICC has stopped me. I don't know the ICC rules, but nobody dare stop me from coming to Kolkata. I'll be there whenever my team plays a match at the Eden.”

3. Then, in 2008, SRK gave an indication that a major decision regarding the team would be taken by Coach John Buchanan. And this year, Buchanan decided on the multiple captaincies, which many in Kolkata saw as another ploy to strip local favourite Sourav Ganguly of captaincy. Buchanan’s idea was eventually shelved, but Ganguly didn't retain his job either, as KKR’s Kiwi stumper Brendon McCullum became the new captain.

Needless to say, Kolkata was not happy, but Shah Rukh said, “For good and bad, the Kolkatans love us one night and one night they do get angry with our decisions. But I promise you guys that the dream I have is to come to Kolkata with the IPL trophy and dance. Will do some new steps for Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re.”

But this dream is far from coming true now, as his team only managed to win one match out of the seven they have played.

4. SRK selected six cheerleaders through his reality show Knights and Angels to cheer his team on in South Africa. But the South African cricket management did not allow them on the grounds, and he had no choice but to send them home, promising them work next IPL.

5. After a string of defeats suffered by the Kolkata Knight Riders, team owner Shah Rukh decided not to go back to South Africa unless KKR started to win. He said, “If they are doing well, I will go back. Otherwise, I don't like going back and feeling sad for the boys, because there is a lot of talent in the team and a lot of hard work.”

Shahrukh and Juhi charmed the grand finale of Knight and Angels!

The six week hunt for cheerleaders for IPL Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is reaching its climax with the grand finale with none other than Superstar Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla appearing as judges.

The enthusiasm of the finalists was quite high and SRK fulfilled the dream of angels to dance with him and he even made Sourav Ganguly dance with him on Korbo Lorbo Jetbo the song for KKR.

The surprise element in the episode is interesting trivia round which was designed by Juhi Chawla for Shahrukh wherein she asks questions to the Angel girls about Shahrukh the owner of IPL.

Shahrukh Khan was at his best as always and Juhi was equally cheerful. The dance guru Shaimak Davar was also present. Shantrunjay Gaikwad son of cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad had danced with angel contestant Sanna in one of the previous episode so when he returned in the finals everyone started teasing him to get paired with him.

The previous episodes had Anushka Sharma, Minnisha Lamba, Malaika Arora Khan, Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone as judges. SRK and Juhi added the spunk to the grand finale and all the contestants present were too happy to be the part of the Knight and Angels. Pranjal Khandhdiya creative head-non-fiction of Red Chillies Idiot Box, says, “Knight and Angels the reality show to hunt for cheerleaders has reached its climax. Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla charmed everyone and all the contestants were extremely happy to perform in their presence."

The grand finale episode would be telecast on Saturday at 9 p.m.

King Khan Unplugged!

Shah Rukh Khan's hurt his back again and as he sat at home, he spoke at length about his health problem, and his life and times in general. Excerpts…

You have hurt your back again?
Yes, I am not doing too well. I am currently bed ridden as you can see. I forget I am 43 and I tried to do a fight scene and got hurt very badly. I hurt my back and my neck. The doctor is coming every two hours to check my state and monitor me closely.

You are still going on and on… aren't you scared of a burnout?
I truly believe that even after so many years I feel like every film is my first and last film. I feel that if this doesn't work out then I won't get another film to work on. So I do it with that desperation, that intensity and that passion. I want to die doing a film.

I think I should not be working so hard. But then I have been made to do something which has been written in my destiny and hence I continue working.

A lot of my friends tell me, 'We've been telling you for the past 15 years that you'll burn out.' But I feel I will not burn out because I am still very excited to wear make-up. In my life I feel that picture abhi baki hai mere dost. I have not completed the most beautiful film of my life yet and I hope the last shot I give is the best.

You try and give a message through your films… like picture abhi baki hai mere dost…
Whenever I produce movies, I always try to give a message.

When I was in college I used to play cricket and football and wanted to represent India in the national team. When I injured my back it seemed like the end of my career. For two years I was depressed but that was the reason why I joined the film industry.

Once I joined the film industry my life changed for the better. Whatever I am today is only because of what happened then.

Like a few years ago both of us - you and me, were young. You wrote something negative about me and I got very angry with you. We fought as you printed something about me because maybe you didn't like me and after which I didn't like you. But now you're making a documentary on me and I feel you must have seen something good in me. In the end we're sitting together after 10 years since that happened. Hence "picture abhi baki hai mere dost".

You haven't been giving time to a lot of your friends who are now angry with you?
There are those who think that I only work and there are some friends who feel that I don't get the time to meet them.

I do 2-3 films and it takes 200 days. I also do around 15 endorsements with an average of 3 days per endorsement, which takes up 50 days.

I also manage to do some 20-25 live shows - whether it's the Filmfare awards or the rehearsals, which take about 40 days.

I also spend two months on my television shows and their promotions. I take about 1 and ½ months break from work to spend with my kids.

So I run short of 70 days in a year and hence I have to work a lot more. In the end, I don't get to meet a lot of people. There are a lot of friends, a lot of people whom I can't give time.

How has your journey been from Deewana to Dard-e-Disco?
Actually to tell you the truth, when I think about my journey from theatre to television to where I am today it doesn't seem so long.

I was watching ‘Chak De’ right now and it just doesn't feel like it's been two years since we shot the film in Australia. Sometimes the children also pull out old DVDs and tell me 'look at how you used to look before'!

Recently I was watching ‘Yes Boss’ because my son felt that I can't do somersaults in the air. So I showed the film to him to because I had done a somersault in it. In the film I had somersaulted into the car like Jackie Chan does in his films. So I showed him that I could do it when I was young. But when I was watching the film it didn't feel like it was a long time ago, it felt like it happened just yesterday or the day before.

A few days ago when Juhi (Chawla) had come over with her kids I was just telling her that it doesn't feel like it's been such a long time since we did this film together. I wanted to ask her also if she feels like that.

What is the feeling after so many years of work?
I'll be a 43-year-old man in few months and I still wear make-up in the morning, so how silly is that? I do a silly job, but well, that's the job I love doing. I adore it.

Do your children like your films?
My son's favourite film is ‘Baadshah’. When he watches it he tells me that 'the special effects are really bad, Papa'. So now I have to make a Baadshah that my son will like.

You have also acted in remakes of films like Devdas and Don… Trying to prove a point?
When I did ‘Devdas’, I wanted to say something to the people but everyone had a different take on it. Some said it was ostentatious while some said I was copying Dilip Kumar, etc. The film belonged to another generation but as an actor it's my duty to bring it to the notice of the people of today. They must know that ‘Devdas’ was a great film.

See my ‘Don’ and know what a great actor Amitabh Bachchan was.

A writer has alleged that you lifted his story idea to make Om Shanti Om. Comment.
Farah Khan narrated the script of ‘Om Shanti Om’ many years ago when I was shooting for Mani Rathnam's ‘Dil Se’. I did not do the film then. Farah and I then worked on the script of ‘Happy New Year’ with Amitabh Bachchan. But Amitji fell ill and was hospitalised and we knew that film could not be made because Amitji had a lot of scenes in the film.

I told Farah to bring over the script of ‘Om Shanti Om’ that she had narrated to me earlier and said that we can make it. So there was no way how we could have taken the script from anyone else as the said person has claimed.

Even the Manoj Kumar issue became big and you had to erase a few scenes.
Manojji is a veteran film person and we respect everyone from the industry. We will do what he wants as long as it makes him happy. There was no intention to hurt him in the first place.

SRK turns content provider

Shah Rukh Khan started his acting career in television before moving on to Bollywood. He came a full circle to the medium that first gave him recognition by anchoring game shows Kaun Banega Crororepati and Aap Panchvi Pass Se Teez Hai on Star Plus.

Now, the King of Bollywood is all set to take his association with television one step further, by producing entertainment and lifestyle programmes.

SPICING IT UP

# Shah Rukh Khan launched Red Chillies Entertainment in 2004 after the venture Dreamz Unlimited with actor Juhi Chawla did not churn successful films

# Red Chillies Entertainment is all set to produce content for lifestyle channel E24

# E24 is owned by BAG Films & Media, whose chief is Anuradha Prasad, the wife of vice-president of the Indian cricket board, Rajiv Shukla

# Red Chillies Entertainment produced the mega hit 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Main Hoon Na', while its 'Kaal' and 'Paheli' were flop

Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment, is tying up with lifestyle channel E24 to provide them content. Sources say that Khan's company is close to finalizing concepts for some of the shows. E24 is owned by BAG Films & Media, a listed media house, whose chief is Anuradha Prasad, the wife of vice-president of the Indian cricket board, Rajiv Shukla.

However, when contacted, Prasad, chairman and managing director of BAG Films & Media declined to comment on the association. Bag Films & Media runs its non-news channels such as E24 under a separate company BAG Glamour, while the news channel is run through BAG Newsline. Last year, Khan and his wife Gauri bought 10 per cent stake in BAG Glamour in their personal capacity.

The other investors in BAG Glamour are IndiaBulls' promoter Sameer Gehlaut (15 per cent), Kolkata-based private investor High Growth (15 per cent), and the remaining 60 per cent is held by the parent company and promoters.

The actor has made some tentative moves to build a footprint in the entertainment and media business but with limited success. He launched Red Chillies Entertainment in 2004 after the venture Dreamz Unlimited with actor Juhi Chawla did not churn successful films.

Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and the big budget periodic film Asoka released under Dreamz Unlimited flopped at the box-office. While Red Chillies Entertainment produced the mega hit Main Hoon Na, the company's next two films 'Kaal' and 'Paheli' in 2005 were non-drawers.

Khan's production house hit jackpot with 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007, when he managed to sell the worldwide distribution rights of the movie for over Rs 74 crore to Eros International.

Shah Rukh and Aziz 'Konnection'

Shah Rukh Khan may not be starring in Aziz Mirza’s Kismat Konnection, but he’s invisibly there in the project alright. This Shahid Kapur-Vidya Balan starrer has inputs galore from Mirza’s dear friend SRK.

Said a source close to the film, “Shah Rukh and Juhi Chawla share a special bond with Aziz Mirza. They are like family to the Mirzas. Aziz considers them lucky for him”.

Added our source, “Going by the comfort level and the rapport that the two share, Mizra had several meetings with Shah Rukh at his place, Mannat to discuss the script of Kismat Konnection.”

Mizra’s directorial debut Circus starred Shah Rukh when he was a newcomer and since then, Mizra has worked with Shah Rukh films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Yes Boss (1997), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000) and Chalte Chalte (2003).

When contacted, Mizra said, “Shah Rukh and I go back a long way. We always discuss ideas with each other. And so he gave me feedback on this film too. It is not a big deal.”

SRK meets Buddhadeb before Knights' match

KOLKATA: Film star and owner of IPL cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders Shah Rukh Khan called on West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee prior to his team's last match at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.

During his 45-minute meeting with the chief minister in his ante-chamber at the state secretariat, the Bollywood icon, accompanied by his team's co-owner Juhi Chawla, discussed cricket and films in which the two hold common interest.

Shah Rukh, dressed in black trousers, white shirt and steel gray coat and Juhi in hot pink salwar suit, discussed with Bhattacharjee how to develop the film industry in keeping with the rapid change in viewership profile and technology.

Though SRK did not meet the press after the meeting, chief ministers' secretariat sources said that he also discussed development of cricket, particularly its new format T-20. The need for more cricket academies to develop the sport was also a topic.

Only such academies could prepare a new breed of cricketers for the T-20 avatar, SRK is said to have observed while committing himself to strengthen his IPL team next year.

Shah Rukh, accompanied by Juhi and her husband Joy Mehta, arrived at the state secretariat at 12:45 pm in a white Mercedes and went straight to the chief minister's ante-chamber where city police commissioner Goutam Mohan Chakraborty was also present.

While the star presented a golden helmet of his knights to Bhattacharjee, the chief minister in return presented them export quality Darjeeling tea.

SRK: We are the winners

For there lay the risk of his costliest production going kaput. For the first 29 overs of what was a 32-over match, the Kolkata Knight Riders boss sat largely motionless in his earmarked Club House stand, staring at what could have been his biggest flop till date.

But with the Royal Challengers needing 39 off three overs and Ishant Sharma bowling a Scrooge-like 14th, King Khan stirred to life. Sensing a likely victory, he climbed on his chair, turned his back to the ground and began egging the crowd on.

At the finish, he hugged friend Arjun Rampal and then rushed cheerfully onto the ground for the prize ceremony.

Earlier, when he arrived at his hotel, Shah Rukh had sounded anxious. “We are down but not out. Obviously, one cannot deny that we lost four matches on the trot. We have to keep our morale up, I guess,” King Khan had said.

But the man himself found it difficult to keep his morale high. A complete contrast to his last two outings at Eden, he hardly got up to cheer his team till Bangalore’s 14th over.

Not when Brad Hodge hit the first boundary. Not when Sourav Ganguly walked out to bat. Not when David Hussey hit the first six. The second… the third… not when Deewangi deewangi played. Not when Aaj ki raat played.

The only times he shuffled in his seat was when the Knight Riders walked back to the pavilion.

He did try his lucky charms. The Khan 12 T-shirt was back. Rampal and Mehr Jessia Rampal were flown in from Mumbai, the two cheering pals who were by his side in the first two victories. Wife Gauri and children Aryan and Suhana were back, too. Suhana sat on SRK’s lap just like the first Eden match against the Deccan Chargers.

Only this time, daddy wasn’t doing his Dard-e-disco. Everyone from Lalit Modi to Sajid Khan wanted SRK, who was smoking non-stop, to join in the boundaries-and-wickets celebrations but to no avail.

Naturally, the lower right tier of the Club House, despite a better turnout compared with Match Two, went quite thanda. Rahul Bose, Riya Sen, Calcutta boy but Kings XI Punjab co-owner Karan Paul, Tollywood actors Jeet, Jisshu, Koel, Rituparna were all there but all the King’s men struggled without their King.

Making a whole lot more noise were the Royal Challengers supporters. For the first time, an opposition team had real support at the Eden thanks to Vijay Mallya’s mammoth marketing blitz.

At the left lower tier of the Club House, Mallya’s men reserved over 200 seats with brand ambassador Katrina Kaif cheering from Row One. Team SRK had blocked just about 50 seats.

Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal bond at IPL

While Shah Rukh Khan being present for the opening IPL match at Bangalore was a foregone conclusion, what surprised many at the stadium and those who were watching it on telly was the presence of Arjun Rampal.

The two actors have bonded well ever since they were seen in DON and OM SHANTI OM. While Arjun was also there for a guest appearance in KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA, King Khan too obliged by appearing for a blink-and-you-would-miss performance in Arjun's home production I SEE YOU.

Now Arjun has extended his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan by supporting his KNIGHT RIDERS team which went on to win the inaugural match. While the two were quite demonstrative about their support for the team and were seen dancing and cheering aloud from their VIP stands, it was a star studded affair with Juhi Chawla, Shilpa Shetty and Gauri Khan too having fun during the proceedings.

A glam studded event, the first match in IPL has turned out to be a smash hit affair and one can expect many more star appearances like these in the matches to follow over the course of next 6 weeks!

Juhi to replace Amisha in 'Billoo Barbar'

Produced by Shah Rukh Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, Billoo Barber is rumoured to be the story of Lord Krishna and his best friend Sudama. Shah Rukh will play Krishna whereas Irrfan Khan will play Sudama. But the film is set in modern times.
Amisha was offered a small but vital role as Irrfan's wife in the film. But she opted out because she felt the role was too insignificant.

In Priyadarshan's earlier film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Amisha had a small but important role as well. But this time, it looks like the actress wanted better.

Left with no heroine, it is learnt that SRK has requested his good friend Juhi to step in.

Shah Rukh and Juhi have been close friends since 1992's Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, when Juhi was a star and Shah Rukh, a relative newcomer. They had also formed their production company, Dreamz Unlimited, which made the flop, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani.

The last time SRK and Juhi were seen together in a film was Paheli, also produced by Red Chillies.

"First, learn to act, Shah Rukh" - Juhi

We all know how good friends SRK and Juhi Chawla are. They have paired together in a number of films in the past and are coming together yet again in producer Ravi Chopra's Bhootnath that is being directed by Vivek Sharma.

The camaraderie and chemistry between SRK and Juhi was evident on the sets of the film. In fact, Juhi showed that if there is anyone (except Aamir Khan , of course) who can banter with SRK, it was she.

It happened during a shoot in which SRK, Juhi and Vivek Oberoi were taking part.

Despite a busy schedule, SRK was his flamboyant self on the sets. He memorized his dialogues to perfection while doing the make-up, and when he faced the camera, he delivered his lines flawlessly and okayed his shots in a single take only.

Smug about his efficiency and talent, SRK turned to Juhi and asked rhetorically,"Now, wasn't that worth a compliment?"

Not to be charmed by SRK's smugness, Juhi retorted wittily: "First learn to act Shahrukh. Then you will get the due praise."

Everyone on the sets reportedly broke out in laughter at hearing this. Even SRK took Juhi's good-natured banter in the right spirit.

The two actors play husband and wife in the film. However, SRK has a brief role because the character he plays dies mid-way in the story.

Smug about his efficiency and talent, SRK turned to Juhi and asked rhetorically, “Now, wasn’t that worth a compliment?”

Not to be charmed by SRK’s smugness, Juhi retorted wittily: “First learn to act Shahrukh. Then you will get the due praise”.

Everyone on the sets reportedly broke out in laughter at hearing this. Even SRK took Juhi’s good-natured banter in the right spirit.

The two actors play husband and wife in the film. However, SRK has a brief role because the character he plays dies mid-way in the story.

All roads will lead to Shah Rukh Khan's Bandra bungalow on Saturday morning. Stars from tinsel town will descend on the terrace of Mannat and soak themselves in colours, literally. SRK is known to throw lavish bashes on festivals and this year on Holi it will not be any different.

Our source close to the actor informs us that apart from welcome drinks the guests will be served bhaang and jalebi along with a variety of Indian sweets that are being ordered in huge quantities. The guests will be treated to lavish spread which is being ordered from a suburban five-star hotel.

Adds our source, “SRK has invited all the top actors from the industry and the celebration is going to be a rather grand affair.” The guest list includes SRK's closest friends from the industry - Rani Mukherji, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal with Mehr Jessia, Riteish Deshmukh, Farah Khan with hubby Shirish Kunder, Juhi Chawla with Jay Mehta, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

While SRK is holidaying in Austria with his family and friend Juhi's family, close friend Bhavna Pandey (Chunkey Pandey's wife) is managing the bash on SRK's behalf. SRK is returning tonight to be there for the Saturday morning bash. Meanwhile, his staff is super busy getting the Holi party organised for 'H' day.

Shah Rukh Khan on a holiday with his kids

Shah Rukh Khan has taken a brief break from the hustle and bustle of tinsel town.

The superstar is learnt to be on a short vacation to the snow-capped mountains of Austria with his two kids Aryan and Suhana.

Wife Gauri Khan is reportedly not accompanying the king Khan. Rather, it is good friend Juhi Chawla’s hubby Jai Mehta and his two kids Janhavi and Arjun who are accompanying the Khan trio.

Juhi Chawla is also not giving company to her hubby.

Shah Rukh and Juhi have almost been like family friends for years. The two are also paired together in Ravi Chopra’s film Bhootnath , the first look of which was unveiled on Saturday last week.

SRK is going to be very busy in the coming months with the upcoming IPL tournament, followed by his hectic schedule for Aditya Chopra’s film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in May.

Latest reports from Bollywood suggest that Yashraj Films are looking forward to release the movie in the second week of December this year, during the festive time of 'Eid-Ul-Zuha'.
