Shahrukh Khan – know him inside-out!

Meet Shahrukh Khan, the King of Bollywood…the way you never met! Here are few things which you probably didn’t know…

1. Shahrukh was born to Mir Taj Muhammad and Lateef Fatima in New Delhi’s Talwar Nursing Home on 2nd November’65. And he looks exactly like his dad!

2. As per SRK, his mother looked like Waheeda Rehman

3. He had inherited his sense of humor from his father who he used to call ‘yaar’!

4. Shahrukh’s parents had a love marriage…after Lateef Fatima had a car accident, she needed blood and taken to hospital. In the same hospital was his dad who gave her blood. In the process to give her life, Taj Muhammad gave her his heart too!

5. Shahrukh once acted in Ram Leela as one of the monkeys!

6. At the age of four, he hit a boy with a rock breaking his teeth! Later the boy’s father turned up and threatened SRK’s family with a knife. Shahrukh had to ask for forgiveness from the drunk and armed man as ordered by his dad.

7. Shahrukh had been an all-rounder throughout his academic years and got prizes for his excellences. However, he always had last minute studies and had a very good memory. He was a brilliant student.

8. Shahrukh’s love story is way too similar like DDLJ. Shahrukh married Gauri after many struggles. Gauri’s mom had threatened to commit suicide. Still, they had a love life of six long years. He convinced Gauri’s family members one by one and finally herparents. SRK is very possessive about Gauri and doesn’t like any other man to look at her!

9. He loves to watch films alone in the darkness of his car.

10. He loves virtual games and he just loves his Playstation 3 (not an Xbox fan!)

11. He gives his mom the credit for teaching him how to act.

12. He was very naughty in the class!

13. SRK still remembers the lady who was his first fan, he claims. She shouted her name during those days when he was into theatres.

14. Shahrukh loves his sister a lot. She went into depression after their parents died and she had been staying in Mannat with Shahrukh since then.

15. Shahrukh Khan hated smoking once and used to say that only weak people are into smoking! And now he is a chain smoker!!!

Shahrukh Khan worried about Indian hockey

Shahrukh Khan, an ardent lover of Indian national sport hockey, is worried about the snub given to hockey players by the sport’s federation.

As many of you would know by now, Indian hockey players are protesting over non-payment of dues and bonus. In fact, some reports suggest that the players didn’t show up for morning practice on Friday to express their protest over the humiliating treatment meted to them.

“I feel awful for the Indian hockey team who play for the country. It’s a national sport and players have to ask for salary. No doubt we complain that we don’t win gold,” SRK tweeted a few hours ago.

The superstar, who has been tweeting regularly ever since joining the social networking site recently, is best known for his stellar performance as a hockey coach in the superhit Yashraj film Chak De India.

The 44-year-old superstar used to play hockey in his school and college days but fell out of practice after he embarked on his acting career. He’s presently looking forward to the release of his film My Name Is Khan next month.
