The frugality with which Shahrukh Khan has been signing films hasn’t reduced his popularity among the fans. Rather, the less the better because when his film releases after a gap of a year or so from the previous one, people beeline to grab tickets at box office. The success of his My Name Is Khan being a case in point.

In the latest ApunKaChoice poll, we asked our readers about which film they were most eagerly waiting for - Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai’s Action Replayy, or Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya’s Guzaarish, or Akshay and Katrina Kaif’s Tees Maar Khan, or Shahrukh’s dream project Ra.One.

2297 people took part in the poll and majority of them voted for Ra.One. The movie got 54 percent votes, against Guzaarish which got 20 percent votes and Tees Maar Khan which came third with 19 percent ayes. Action Replayy was clearly voted out with just 7 percent nods.

The buzz surrounding Ra.One is already huge. SRK has roped in best technicians from Hollywood to do stunts and visual effects. The film has the superstar playing the inventor of a video game called Ra.One (Random Access One). Kareena Kapoor plays SRK’s ladylove while Arjun Rampal plays the villain. The film will release in 2011.

After working with Shahid Kapoor and the likes of Saif Ali Khan, ‘Kaminey’ director Vishal Bhardwaj has now finally fallen on SRK’s laps. Shahrukh Khan and Vishal both are masters of their fields and were yearning to work with each other. However, owing to some hassles and differences, hitherto, the audience has been deprived of a SRK-Vishal magic.

Shahrukh Khan 001 But reportedly, the two have now confirmed a deal and have zeroed in on a film. Though, it is still an all hush hush affair, the buzz is that the film in question shall have a storyline set in a small town.

Though neither SRK nor Vishal have commented on the issue, it is clear that both are delighted with the outcome of their recent rendezvous. The viewers shall certainly get their money’s worth when Shahrukh magic blends with the Vishal wizardry.

The film is likely to go on floors in mid 2011. Currently, SRK is busy with ‘Ra. One’ and ‘Don 2’ while Vishal is keyed up about his upcoming ‘Saat Khoon Maaf.’
