Seeking to capitalise on the growing popularity of Indian culture, food and Bollywood, a German magazine has been launched with superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the cover.

"The market in Germany concerning India as a travel destination, economy partner and Bollywood has a big scope. You can find magazines and newspapers about everything in our country but until now no one touched these topics," said Michaela Ohrem, editor-in-chief of Indien-Magazin.

Ohrem, who was contemplating the idea for quite some time, decided to take the plunge soon after seeing response to Yash Chopra 's cross-border romance Veer Zaara starring SRK, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee , screened as a part of 55th Berlinale Film Festival.

The first issue features reports on Toy Train of Darjeeling and Darjeeling Tea, Farhan Akhtar 's Don (starring SRK), Aishwarya Rai starrer Umrao Jaan , Indian cuisine and Bollywood shows in Germany.

According to a press statement, fans, booked their copies a week in advance and publishers registered a big sale.

For the time being the magazine will come every second month in Germany. But the publishers are in negotiations with a Swiss company to launch Indien-Magazin in Switzerland as well.

Shahrukh's favourite line in Ra.One: 'I wear a heart'

Shah Rukh's favourite line in Ra.One has been penned by Kanika Dhillon, one of the screenplay and dialogue writers of his superhero film

Shah Rukh Khan's favourite line in his film Ra.One is: "Some superheroes wear a mask, this one wears a heart."

This thought has been penned by Kanika Dhillon, one of the screenplay and dialogue writers of Ra.One. SRK, who is currently shooting for the film in London, plays the role of a superhero called G.One.

On a microblogging site SRK states: "My favourite written thought by Kanika in the context to G.One is... most superheroes wear a mask...I wear a heart."

Kanika says, "It was instinctive given SRK's larger-than-life persona and a huge heart. There was no other suitable line that came to my mind."

The young writer finds SRK a big source of inspiration. "He is a superhero both in reel and real life. I always wanted to begin writing for Bollywood with him and he gave me a chance."

Working on the star's production, which is directed by Anubhav Sinha, has been a fantastic learning experience for her.

Kanika has also co-written the screenplay for Roshan Abbas' directorial debut Always Kabhie Kabhie, and Ishaan, a musical show for Disney.

Apart from writing for the film, Kanika is also turning author with her first book Bombay Duck Is A Fish. "It's about finding love and spirituality and finding your true self in a very unlikely place called Bollywood."

Kanika, who has done her MSc in media and communications from the London School of Economics, feels writing a book is a different journey altogether.

"Writing a book is more opinionated than screenplay or dialogue writing.

There is only one voice that resonates in a book, but screenplay and dialogue in a film is a team effort where many visions and opinions are amalgamated into a cohesive format."
