‘I want to cut Shah Rukh’s hair’

Director Priyadarshan has adapted the story from Lord Krishna’s friendship with Sudama. Billoo Barber is the story of two friends, one rich and the other a poor villager. While SRK plays the rich superstar, Irrfan is the village barber. The two are friends from school who grow up and drift apart until they meet again. Says Irrfan, “It’ll be a pleasure to work with Shah Rukh Khan. We haven’t shot together yet. But I must admit, I want to cut Shah Rukh’s hair in the film! I hope Priyadarshan adds a scene where I get to do so.”

If SRK will be seen romancing three hotties like Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, Irrfan has the lovely and sexy Lara Dutta as his wife. Tabu and Ameesha were earlier approached for the role, but Lara proved to be the lucky one. “I always fancied working with Lara. I knew she has great potential and needed a good director to bring it to the fore. She is very intelligent, pretty and has strong views,” he says.

Shah Rukh's London Dreams

Shah Rukh Khan loves going where no one else has managed to. After having bought a palatial home Mannat in Bandra for himself (it is so huge that by his own admission, he hasn’t seen the entire house as yet, even after years of moving in), now the buzz is that King Khan has bought himself an entire six-storey building in London. According to sources, SRK”s building is in the hip Park Street area of the city.

Khan had earlier expressed a desire to own a house in London as he simply loves the British capital. He had said, “I don’t like America. I love London as I feel at home there. People say the English are very cold and unfriendly, but I find them amazingly warm. I love walking in London. To me London is the hub of the world and anyone doing well there is a top notch achiever.” SRK had also earlier expressed a desire to open an office in London to start making films with English technicians. So, it is not certain whether SRK will use the building as a branch of his production company, Red Chillies Pvt Ltd, or use it to stay, whenever he visits his beloved city.

According to sources, a six-storey structure in the much coveted Park Street would set one back by at least 8 million to 10 million pounds (Rs 72 cr-90 cr).

SRK demands an apology

In a reply to a legal notice sent to him by a jail inmate, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has said that it is nothing more than a gimmick to gain cheap publicity and extract money from him.

His comments came in context of the allegations put forward by the jail inmate that he fell ill after using a talcum powder endorsed by the actor.

On June 5, Anjum Ansari, brother of Gateway blast case accused Ashrat Ansari, had sent a legal notice to Shah Rukh and the manufacturers of a popular talcum powder brand claiming that Ashrat had used the powder in jail and had taken ill.

According to Anjum, Ashrat had used the powder in jail and had initially felt a cool sensation. ''However, after sometime Ashrat's whole body started itching and he felt a burning sensation,'' Ashrat's advocate Sushan Kunjuraman said.

Anjum has said that Shah Rukh has been irresponsible in endorsing the product and had caused physical and mental pain to Ashrat.

In his reply, Shah Rukh's advocates have wondered how Ashrat had used the talcum powder when such products are banned in jail.

Moreover, they said that the allegations were baseless and frivolous as the product has been tested and licensed fit for use by the appropriate government agencies.

Shah Rukh has demanded an apology from Anjum within a week or else his lawyers would sue Anjum and Ashrat for defaming him.
