SRK clarifies stand on Ra.One-Raavan controversy

Call it ‘Ra.One’ or ‘Raavan’, it sounds the same. But that has become a matter of concern for Shah Rukh Khan who is all set to start his first science-fiction superhero film Ra.One soon.

Shah Rukh is amazed that his fans are confusing the title ‘Raavan’ with ‘Ra.One’. However SRK decided to clear it once and for all. “Abhishek's ‘Raavan’ is different from our ‘Ra.One’. Our film will release later this year. It’s very different from Mani sir’s Raavan,” said SRK.

Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming film Raavan is a modern version of Ramayana that stars Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan in lead role. While ‘Ra.One’ will be directed by Anubhav Sinha and will star Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena in lead roles. It will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his home production Red Chillies Entertainment.

SRK is aware that this unusual title is creating curiosity among his fans. He is also planning to launch a website soon before the film goes on floors so that his fans can get more information about his first superhero film. ‘Ra.One’ will commence on 20th March.

RA.ONE to commence this Saturday!

Off late, there has been a lot of confusion regarding the titles of Mani Ratnam's Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai starrer RAAVAN and the Anubhav Sinha directed Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor project RA.ONE.

Well, we can tell you that the former is complete and all set to release on 18th June while the latter (RA. ONE) will officially commence this Saturday (20th March). The full fledged shooting though is likely to start only around the 24th of this month.

When we spoke to the director of RA.ONE, Anubhav Sinha, last week our conversation centered more on the iconic R&B singer Akon and his humble ways. But more about Anubhav's humbling experiences later! What we want to tell you here is that the director had also hinted at an early start to the much talked about sci-fi flick RA.ONE.

Well, this is certainly good news for all, especially the kids out there who have been totally neglected by Bollywood and have to depend on Hollywood for their kind of entertainment. We are sure that they are in for a treat of their lives in form of the technical whiz director Anubhav and Bollywood's global super star Shah Rukh Khan's RA.ONE.

Shahrukh Khan Bollywood’s top taxpayer!

Shahrukh Khan is again the highest Bollywood’s tax payer. Though last year it was Akshay Kumar securing the first position, according to reports, this year it’s SRK who is on top for the financial year 2009-2010.

Among actresses the top taxpayer is Kareena Kapoor, with her brand Kareena going strong and with the success of her last film 3 Idiots. No doubt, the lady is among the top earners of Bollywood.

And as she tells a tabloid, “It’s been a great year for cinema and a great year for me in every way. I am happy to have pleased my fans and the public.”

Last year, Kareena paid Rs 3.7 crore while SRK gave Rs 30.99 crore. This year’s numbers are yet to come.

Shahrukh Khan the King Of Entertainment Again, Award At FICCI Frames 2010!

After a very high definition inaugural of the FICCI Frames 2010, in Mumbai recently, Shahrukh would have been pleasantly surprised. The reason being that he has been awarded the ‘Global Entertainment and Media Persons Award of the year.’

Shahrukh Khan is the only bollywood actor who has been able to mark the presence of bollywood in the remotest corners of the world. He truly represents the leading saga of bollywood films in today’s times.

There were various awards in other categories too. Amitji and Vidya Balan received the best actor Awards for the film ‘Paa’.A.R Rahman, the Oscar winning music composer of India, received the Global Icon of the Year Award.

Director Rajkumar Hirani, received the best director Award for ‘3 Idiots, and the film was given the Best film Award too. Youth Icon Ranbir Kapoor was presented with the Best Entertainer Award .

With this Award added to his list of never ending Awards, Shahrukh has once again proved his magna presence in the film industry!

Victoria Koblenko wants Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan is a big name in Bollywood but it came as a surprise when Dutch actress Victoria Koblenko, who is known for the movie When Night Falls, TV drama series ‘Good Times, Bad Times’ and talk shows like ‘ The Weakest Link ’ and ‘ Celebrity Mole ’, said that she wanted to work with him.

Victoria Koblenko is all praise for Shahrukh, with whom she shared the dais on the first day of FICCI Frames 2010. She said that she has been watching Indian films with sub-titles since childhood, as her parents used to watch them. She added that she has watched a lot of Shahrukh's films and her friends from Russia and Holland like him very much.

This Dutch beauty is ready to try her hands in Bollywood if given a good role. She said that she would love to work with Shahrukh Khan.
