FIFA World Cup 2010 is around the corner. And who else can be more excited than our own Shahrukh Khan. In fact, the superstars’ kids too are all game to accompany father. However, SRK and kids preferences as far as FIFA official anthems are concerned are different.

World famous singer Shakira along with South African band Freshlyground’s ‘Waka Waka’ and Somalia-born Canadian rapper K'Naan ‘Waivin’ Flag’ are rocking the world over.

SRK smitten over by one of the anthems tweets his preference, “I like ‘Waka Waka’ and the kids prefer ‘Waivin' flag’.”

Well, SRK all we can say is have loads of fun watching FIFA World Cup 2010 with kids.

Shahrukh's family holidaying with the Kapoors!

Yesterday, many B-Town folks left for a Caribbean cruise. This gang consists of Karan Johar's mom Hiroo, KJo's best buddy Kaajal Anand with her mom, Raj Kapoor's children Rima, Ritu and Randhir Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor is currently shooting in London for Patiala House and Rajiv Kapoor is busy with some work commitments.

The group will be joined mid-way by Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan, along with their children, Suhana and Aryan.

KJo's busy, won't go, KJo will not be joining this motley group as he's busy with the marketing and promotion of his next production I Hate Luv Storys.

Though the Kapoors are known to holiday together during the summer vacations, this is the first time that they will be joined by the Khans.

Says a source close to the Kapoors, "Yes, it's true that the Kapoors and Khans are all going on this fun cruise. They will meet up in London and then take the cruise to Italy, Greece and Turkey. Shahrukh and Gauri also join mid-way. Karan, who is very close to Rima and Natasha, couldn't go because he just got back after a month-long trip to USA and London and has tons of pre-release work on I Hate Luv Storys."

Anurag Basu to direct Shahrukh Khan

The crashing of his latest film Kites at box office hasn’t deflated director Anurag Basu’s confidence. Rather, he’s now looking forward to projects with bigger stars.

After finalizing Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to play lead roles in his next film, tentatively titled Silence, Anurag is learnt to be in talks to direct Shahrukh Khan in another project.

The buzz is that Anurag and SRK have already discussed the subject and the latter has given his nod. We hear that SRK will not only act in the film but also produce it.

However, the project is still at a very nascent stage. SRK is presently singularly committed to the sci-fi thriller Ra.One. On the other hand, Anurag is shaping up his next with Ranbir. Only after the two films are complete will Anurag’s movie with SRK roll. Which means latest by the end of this year or next year.

Shahrukh Khan's “Director’s Cut”

Superstar Shahrukh Khan recently put up a list of directors from bollywood with whom he would like to work in the future. It might be a dream for a lot of directors to sign the King Khan, but some of them have made it the list of fame.

The question though arises when one realizes that Shahrukh had been approached by all these directors but backed out of the projects himself, except for one.

The list comprises of Vishal Bhardwaj, Mani Ratnam, Raju Hirani, and Anuraag, though it is not clear whether Shahrukh was talking about Basu or Kashyap. “Would love to work with Vishal (Bhardwaj), Anurag (Kashyap or Basu), Mani (Ratnam) sir, Raju (Hirani), and so many other gifted directors. But we have to have something which suits us all,” tweeted the actor.

Interestingly, kKhan turned down the offers of all of these directors in the past, except for Mani Ratam, with whom he did “Dil Se”.

With Vishal, shahrukh was supposed to do a film, which was cancelled after the duo had a fall out regarding a change in the script that the actor suggested. It is common knowledge that with Raju Hirani, Shahrukh was supposed to portray Munnabhai’s character, but had to back out due to his back problems.

Though it is not clear whether Shahrukh was talking about Anurag Kashyap or Anuraag Basu, he was recently linked with Kashyap’s upcoming Bombay trilogy.

Shahrukh Khan - What should be next on his cards?

There is no doubt that today Bollywood heroes are so fit that they can easily slip into the role of 20 something regular college going guy.

Heroes today are extremely fit and are not afraid of working out a bit harder to get that perfect physique.

However there is no doubt that no matter how much they look physically convincing as a college going guy, age catches up with everyone sooner or later and we are busy choosing whether we like them in romantic, mushy roles or in matured roles.

Shahrukh Khan is an actor who has stepped into Bollywood playing a psychotic killer and bad became the new good with him as viewers fell in love with the negative character.

However he is mostly known for his romantic roles in films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Se etc.

In recent times Shahrukh has shifted doing a bit matured roles like those in Chak De India, My Name is Khan etc.

We think that it’s ok doing matured roles but according to our opinion, totally rejecting romantic roles won’t be a cool idea since viewers still want to see him in romantic roles.

So we feel that Shahrukh should do a balancing act between romantic and matured roles.

What do you feel? Drop us a line.

Amitabh Bachchan Removes Shahrukh Khan from Twitter!

Oh-oh! Do we smell trouble in Twitterland? After following each other dutifully and tweeting friendly messages back and forth, Amitabh Bachchan suddenly stopped following his friend and prominent B-town colleague Shahrukh Khan! What went wrong? Did SRK say something to upset Big B? Did King Khan get a role in a movie that Bachchan Senior was hoping to bag? No, guess again!

The only thing that went wrong when Big B stopped following SRK out of the blue was his technical skills! Apparently the B-town big shot never meant to remove King Khan from his Twitter feed, but accidently hit the delete button! Oops!
"Pressed wrong button ... Shah Rukh gone off my 'following' list ... how do I get him back ...?" Big B tweeted in despair. But with 156,087 followers and fans to help him out, it didn't take long before all online ties between the two actors were restored and everything was back to normal! Phew!

Bollywood was all abuzz as Big B signed on and actors from Ritesh Deshmukh to Sophie Choudry immediately welcomed the veteran B-town star to the Twitter community. "Ladies and gentlemen. HE IS HERE!!! BigB in da house!!!! @srbachchan welcome Pa. Show him the love tweeps!!" Abhishek Bachchan tweeted as soon as his dad joined.

"A warm welcome to my GENIUS @srbachchan - Woh jahan khade hote hain- line wahin se shuru hoti hai," said Amitabh's Aladin co-star Ritesh. "R u ready to welcome the Shahenshah?!! The legend, the most charasmatic man in the world, the God of movies is here! Pls welcome @srbachchan," tweeted Sophie Choudry.

Well now Big B can continue to follow Karan Johar, Shammi Kapoor, Suhel Seth, his son Abhishek and Shahrukh Khan in peace. Let's hope that he doesn't delete any of the other six people he follows, it can easily cause diplomatic problems!
