Imran Khan to walk the ramp with Shahrukh!

Gone are the days when the ramp was only meant for saucy models. Now Bollywood celebs strut and sashay the catwalk quite often. But can the ramp become a battleground for ego tussle? The upcoming HDIL Couture Week in Mumbai seems headed that way.

If Aamir Khan will don ‘Being Human’ clothes for Salman Khan, Karan Johar has got Aamir’s bhanja and his Twitter follower Imran Khan to walk with Shahrukh Khan during the couture week. In a ramp-age of sorts, Salman has managed many other celebs for ‘Being Human’ show - they include Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Govinda and, not to forget, Katrina Kaif.

However, according to sources, the number of stars walking for Salman’s organisation has nothing to do with Karan-SRK’s show. “Salman is keen that the show is a big success for the sake of Being Human,” the source says.

His only aim is to establish the brand and to create awareness for ‘Being Human’ so that people donate money. His show will mark the beginning of the couture week, that’s on October 11. Salman’s two brothers, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan will also walk the runway with their better halves Seema and Malaika Arora.

Karan is going to launch his own fashion line of men’s clothing along with designer Varun Bahl on 16th October. Gauri Khan will walk the ramp with 20 hot male models, including the cool dude Ranbir Kapoor. She will be the only female model for the show.

That will be something to watch.

I am a Big Fan of SRK: Imran Khan

He finds inspiration in his uncle Aamir Khan, but Imran Khan says he is a big Shah Rukh Khan fan.

"I am a big Shah Rukh Khan fan. In fact, 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' is one of my favourite films. It's one of the very quintessential Bollywood films - I just love it," Imran told IANS.

Imran Khan going the Shahrukh way

That's the kind of sentiment which is prevailing amongst those who have seen him becoming an instant heartthrob with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa and donning a different hat altogether for his upcoming release Kidnap. Reason? From a chocolate boy who played the character of a holier-than-thou college pass out in Jtyjn, Imran Khan would be seen in a villainous role in his very second film Kidnap. Of course, there would be write-ups around how he is a young man with shades-of-gray (a much abused phrase, just like 'we are just good friends') but one look at the promos and you know that Imran is all set to give some serious heart burn to none less than Sanjay Dutt in this Sanjay Gadhvi directed film.

So where does Shahrukh Khan come into picture here?

Well, if one goes down the memory lane, even King Khan too started off with light roles (Deewana, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, King Uncle) before he shocked the Industry with his hat-trick of villainous performances in Baazigar, Darr and Anjaam. As an anti-hero, his only justifiable act of being a gray character was in Baazigar though he continued to play the central protagonist in the remaining two films as well.

Raam Jaane followed soon and just when it seemed that playing a man with evil traits was getting a little too predictable, he turned all naughty and mushy with films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and Yes Boss, hence doing the balancing act remarkably well. It is a different story though post the success of these films, he became a quintessential Raj/Rahul for the entire world that included his millions of NRI fans and followers.

Now Imran Khan too seems to be following the same trend with an anti-hero role soon after a film like Jtyjn which has turned out to be the biggest ever grosser for a newcomer. Kidnap should only make things further interesting for this young man!

Imran Khan to star with SRK

Imran Khan's implausible performance in JAANE TU...has impressed one and all. All the biggie filmmakers of Bollywood are looking forward to work with the young lad.

And one such filmmaker is Karan Johar. If the buzz is to be believed than Karan has approached B-town's latest heartthrob Imran Khan to essay the character of a terrorist in his forthcoming Shah Rukh Khan starrer film MY NAME IS KHAN where SRK will be seen in the role of a NRI who later resorts to terrorism because of the difficult circumstances he faces.

According to the hearsay, initially Ranbir was approached for the role, who for some reasons refused to be a part of it, which Imran will play now.

Apparently when Karan saw JTYJN he got enthralled by Imran's work and at once decided to approach Imran for his next outing MY NAME IS KHAN. However it is heard that Imran is rather cautious than excited to star alongside Baadshah of Bollywood and has been seeking advice from mamu (Uncle) Aamir for that matter.
