Shahrukh Khan ignores Farah Khan

Shahrukh Khan recently paid visit to his new friend in Bollywood on the sets of Master Chef, Akshay Kumar in Film city. SRK however, blatantly ignored Farah Khan by not meeting her on the sets of Tees Maar Khan put up close to Master Chef set it.

Shahrukh was delighted to have a look over the set which he totally adored. He also went ahead to discuss about a producing a movie along with Akshay where both former and latter don the lead roles. In the midst of all this, he intentionally chose not to see his once a close friend Farah.

Nevertheless, Salman Khan is heard to have met Farah at the same time on the sets. Interestingly, Salman would be doing a cameo in one of the songs featured on Akshay and Katrina.

We wonder how far was the SRK genuine when he wished Farah good luck for Tees Maar Khan or was it Akki’s sake considering he didn’t bother to show up at Farah’s sets located in the vicinity. Only future will unfold the mystery.

Shahrukh and Akshay to star together?

The friendship between Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar is growing stronger by the day. Recently, SRK praised Akshay Kumar for his upcoming project TEES MAAR KHAN, which is being directed by Farah Khan.

According to reports, SRK is trying to mend fences with Farah and his growing friendship with Akshay is proving to be fruitful for that. SRK's open praise about Farah Khan's film is his way of sending the gestures of peace across.

Now, reports further suggest that the bonding between SRK and Akshay has reached a point where the two superstars are planning to produce a film together and chances are that they might also star in the same film.

Sajid awaiting Shahrukh's approval

Sajid Khan can only fulfill his biggest dream if Shahrukh Khan gives him a positive nod. Yes, the director desires to rope in reigning superstars SRK and Akshay Kumar in his next film. He however, can’t move an inch without SRK’s agreement.

It may be noted here, Sajid had managed to bring Shahrukh to do an item number Mastkalandar in his much-celebrated Heyy Babyy. The director now aims to fetch King Khan for a lead role along with Akki.

Sajid currently is engrossed with two scripts which will go on the floors soon. One of the films is action-packed starring again his two favourites Akshay and Ritesh Deshmukh.

Shahrukh Khan keen to watch 'Khatta Meetha'

Gossipmongers may babble all about the cold vibes between Bollywood superstars, but the bonhomie between some of them seems to be stronger than ever before. Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, often deemed as competitors and even rivals for the top slot, have been getting along just fine with each other.

Just weeks back, the two bonded together well during a flight to London, and SRK was even spotted on the sets of Akshay’s film Patiala House in the English capital.

Now, we hear SRK has expressed a desire to watch Akshay’s latest film Khatta Meetha. It’s no secret that SRK’s son Aryan loves Akshay’s comedy and the buzz is that SRK has requested for a special screening of the film at the newly built preview theatre at his residence.

The film’s producers, Akshay and Ashtavinayak too are eager to screen the film for SRK but the date of the screening hasn’t been finalized since SRK is still busy shooting his sci-fi thriller Ra.One in London.

King Khan and Khiladi Kumar make up?

With a request for a special screening of Akshay Kumar’s film Khatta Meetha, Shahrukh Khan seems to be giving the impression that the two actors may finally be softening towards each other. Both the stars, believed to be archrivals and vying for the number one spot, were believed not to

get along at all. The A-listers may be the latest to join the bandwagon of unlikely friendships, following the likes of Karan Johar and Aamir Khan, reported the Mumbai Mirror.

Khan and Kumar reportedly met last month on a flight and got talking and ever since SRK has been keen to watch the film, especially since he is in Mumbai on a short break from his shoot for Ra.One in London.

AkshayKhan has requested the producer Astavinayaka for a print so that he can watch it on his preview theatre at home though the date is not fixed yet.

Khan had earlier dropped in on the sets of Akshay’s Patiala House as well while the actor was shooting and had a nice long chat. Well, the two certainly seem to be bonding alright!

SRK-Akki bond mid air!

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were known as rivals once upon a time but the duo seems to have moved on ever since.

Just when reports of Aamir ignoring Shah Rukh in London were doing the rounds, we heard of Akki coming to SRK’s rescue!

Akshay Kumar revealed about his bonding with SRK on a social networking site and so did Shah Rukh..

“I flew back to London to join my wife and son for our summer holidays and I met Shah Rukh Khan on my flight! It was nice to know Shah Rukh feels as grateful as I am for being a part of our industry and how lucky we are... It’s amazing I managed to chat more with my work mates on a flight than I do in the entire year” revealed Akshay.

While Shah Rukh described his Akki experience by saying, “I had Akshay Kumar for company on flight. Was wonderful to be with him after so long. Laughed for hours. We always do whenever we meet. Happiness to him.”

Aamir Khan, we wonder what you would do, had you been on that flight too! Bond with Akshay and snub SRK or vice versa! Phew...superstars all!

Changing times for Shahrukh-Akshay

Guess who are the new friends in town? Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar's race to be the numero uno star in Bollywood might have initially come in the way of them becoming close friends but things have changed now. While the two aren't struggling to establish their star status this time, they are trying to outdo each other as far as being generous is concerned.

The latest is that Shah Rukh sent a congratulatory SMS to Akshay praising him for his performance in Housefull . Apparently, he liked Akshay's histrionics in the film. Shah Rukh also gave Akshay a very expensive watch. Akshay, who wanted to reciprocate the gesture, sent a far more expensive watch to SRK.

Not so long ago, Akshay had given health tips to Shah Rukh. Akshay, who had a painful back problem for many years, empathised with Shah Rukh who had to undergo back and shoulder surgery Akshay had said in an interview, "Every time I meet Shah Rukh, we talk about his back pain and the remedies. I have discussed water treatment (hydrotherapy) with him at length."

Not so long ago, Shah Rukh was extremely miffed when his close friend Farah Khan signed Akshay for her next film, Tees Maar Khan . But going by this recent gift exchanging spree, looks like the two stars have forgotten all their differences.

The comedian-turned-actor, Sajid Khan guarantees a full paisa-vasool movie for his audience. So, as the man is ready with his Housefull, he plans to get Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan in one of his forthcoming films. Terrific pair, isn’t it?

But, hold your horses. Till now, Sajid hasn’t planned what will be his next move. And to cast SRK, Akshay together is not less than a dream. So, it’s a make-believe situation, and why not when Akshay and Shahrukh didn’t say no to the hopeful director.

As Sajid discloses to a daily, “Well, when I had told both the stars about my desire to direct them, they didn’t say no. So there’s always a possibility.”

SRK pays surprise visit to Akshay at the sets of 'Blue'

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took everyone on the sets of 'Blue' by surprise when he walked in to meet Akshay Kumar.

The team of 'Blue' was shooting for a special number 'Fikrana' with Akshay and Zayed Khan at Floor number one in Film City in suburban Mumbai.

While the crew was in the middle of the shoot, Shah Rukh walked on to the sets to greet Akshay making the crowd go berserk seeing the two stars together.

The duo then stepped into Akshay's vanity van where they spent nearly 15-20 minutes.

An eyewitness present on the sets said, "We knew SRK was shooting nearby but no one expected him to come on the sets of 'Blue'. He surprised everyone including Akshay. They both even posed together for photographs."

"While we were shooting for Blue on Floor 1 at Filmcity, SRK was shooting on Floor 12 for an automobile commercial. Though the distance is considerably large, Shah Rukh actually walked down all the way to meet Akshay. That was simply incredible," a source from the production team said.

'Blue', an underwater action thriller directed by Anthony D'Souza is slated for a Diwali release and stars, Akshay, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan, Rahul Dev and Katrina Kaif in a special appearance.

Bollywood is gearing up for the clash of the titans. But this time it would not be on the screen or in any award function but on the small screen. The entire tinsel town is abuzz with the Dance Premier League mania with Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Salman Khan, Arshad Warsi and Sohail Khan having already confirmed their association with the show and having picked up their respective teams.

Akki wants to renew friendship with SRK

Bollywood is in the mood to dump the old hatchet and build up a new relationship. After Shahrukh Khan befriended with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Karan Johar’s birthday bash, stunt hero Akshay Kumar is in the process of extending olive branch to his friend-turned-foe Shahrukh Khan.

By sending best wishes to Shahrukh’s team, Akshay Kumar has tried to bridge the gap between the two, he wrote, "I'd like to send my best regards to Shah Rukh and his team. You've put up a good fight, so don't worry boys you will always be loved!"

Knight Riders poor performance at the IPL2 has broken down Shahrukh and Akki used the very issue to patch up with Shahrukh. Professional rivalry sour Shahrukh and Akshay’s relationship.

Let’s see whether Akshay’s message will melt Shahrukh’s heart and he accepts his friendship invitation by dumping the past.

SRK gets support from Bollywood

Shah Rukh Khan may not show it but he is definitely upset with the way his team is performing at the IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders has lost all its matches, except one, and is at the bottom in the points table.

SRK has come back to Mumbai and will be going back to South Africa only after his team wins a match.

And, as far as his cricket team goes, the industry seems to be with Shah Rukh, even his rivals.

After Aamir Khan made peace with him due to the multiplex issues, it is now Akshay Kumar who is by his side.

Akki, who is currently shooting in Singapore, wishes SRK's Kolkata Knight Riders all the best on his blog.

"The most important thing to me my IPL! I called up my producer and said I don't care where I stay even if it's in the back of a kitchen, I need to watch my IPL. Bad news, my hotel didn't have the channel so what else could I do but personally find the hotel manager and fold my hands in humble request and plead and plead for whatever it takes to please get that channel.

”By the next day, I was sitting in my room watching KKR vs PK XI. Happy is not enough to describe how I was feeling. And wow! What a season it's been. Seriously, I wish the best for all the teams, you have me on the edge of my seat, and I'd like to send my best regards to Shah Rukh Khan's Knight Riders, they've put up a good fight. So don't worry boys, you will always be loved”, he wrote on the blog.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that SRK is in talks with companies to sell off his share in Kolkata Knight Riders and get out of cricket.

SRK is said to be negotiating with Nokia, Anil Ambani and the Sahara Group to dispose off his share in the IPL team.

His PR agency, however, has denied the reports and said Shah Rukh has a major holding in Kolkata Knight Riders and is still emotionally attached to it.

All the three companies too have denied the report but have said they would definitely buy Shah Rukh’s stake it if they are approached by him.

Did you know who visited the sets of Om Shanti Om on the last day of the shoot? Well none other than the ' hot and happening - Akshay Kumar'.
Infact he did a fabulous action sequence and a bit of comedy as well. When he finished a sequence the crew started clapping as it was really funny and Akshay had done a superb job! Now this is what we call a complete action - packed performance!!!

It was a treat to watch Subhash Ghai and Rishi Kapoor fighting on the stage, at the filmfare award functions. In case you are wondering how could that happen?- Well the reason behind the ‘stage’ fight is ‘Farah Khan’! She had them sparring with each other to give away an award- for a sequence in Om Shanti Om. Well fight or no fight, it will be heartening to see the actor- director duo together, on screen after a long time.

The shooting of Om Shanti Om was not just a lot of hard work but fun and ‘games’ as well. After a particular sequence where Shah Rukh and Deepika are playing badminton- 70’s style, everyone got hold of rackets and shuttle cocks to play Badminton! The highlight was Farah and Shah Rukh playing a few games as well. Now this is what we call a ‘fun’ shoot.

Today one’s the Badshah of Bollywood and the other an ultimate Khiladi.

We are talking about superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, both formidable in their own right, genres and markets. While the two are best remembered together for their film almost a decade ago , Dil To Pagal Hai , they created magic once again in the more recent Heyy Babyy , when SRK made a guest appearance in the Akshay-starrer.

In turn, Akshay will be seen making a rare guest appearance in SRK’s upcoming Om Shanti Om . Insiders insist that they hit it off instantly. But while personally they may be on friendly terms, professionally the two stars are giving each other a tagdi takkar at the box-office overseas.

While SRK had become an instant rage in the overseas market with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge , and has been numero uno ever since, Akki’s action star image failed to strike a note in the hearts of the overseas audience.

However, if the recent trade figures are anything to go by, Akshay’s emerging as the new star on the overseas circuit giving tough competition to the Khan brigade (Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir and Saif) who have been ruling the roost so far. And with his recent spate of successes, Akshay’s begun a steady climb to the top and is fast catching up with the undisputed Baadshah.

Says trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Akshay’s certainly hot property in the overseas market today. His films have done extremely well both in India and abroad and box-office collections clearly prove that in the overseas market he’s one force to reckon with apart from Shah Rukh.

Sample this: Akki’s Heyy Babyy has grossed approximately Rs 5.58 crores in UK, as opposed to SRK’s Chak De which has grossed Rs 3.47 crores so far. Not only this, Heyy Babyy has also taken the biggest opening in the US this year and the biggest screen average (6,039 pounds) in the UK.

Agrees trade analyst Komal Nahta who says, There’s no doubt that Akki’s raced way ahead of a host of other actors in the overseas segment. But he’s quick to add that it’s too early to consider him a threat to SRK’s reign.

A film distributor reveals, SRK has so far been the untouched king in the overseas market. But though that is quite unlikely to change soon, Akki’s popularity abroad is soaring. His films are being lapped up by overseas distributors with ever-rising prices. Even his films like Dosti that have not done well here, have seen several houseful weeks abroad. So, that way he’s a superhit hero and has been consistent in giving hits.

Analysing the two superstar’s film graphs, Nahta observes that Akshay has done far too many films and has not maintained the exclusivity that’s been one of SRK’s strengths. SRK has been very choosy, doing only one or two per year, as opposed to Akshay. Because of that the success ratio of SRK increased manifold and shot him into the superstar league way earlier, explains Nahta.

But what needs to be considered here are the banners. While SRK made it big, under big banners, its only of late that Akshay’s started doing films under the bigger banners, adds Adarsh.

Box office apart too, the two not only endorse rival cola brands, but also suiting brands. And that’s not all while SRK endorses computers, Akshay endorses a gaming console. While Akshay’s doing away with his action image and doing more comedies and romantic fare, SRK’s geared up his body for some heavy duty action stuff.

Both have the solid backing of good friends and enjoy quite a loyalty among certain filmmakers. SRK has Karan Johar who’s reportedly named his next film My Name is Khan, on good pal highlighting him as the contemporary educated Muslim. Not to be outdone, Akki has been backed by Vipul Shah, who’s film Singh is King shows him as the quintessential Punjabi munda . In fact, many feel that the film was titled to announce his claim to the ‘King’ tag. Now whether the film really establishes his status as the King or not only time will tell.
