Shah Rukh Khan was feeling sad he didn't get time to pay respect to his parents at their burial ground in his hometown Delhi.

The 45-year-old Bollywood superstar was in the capital for TAG Heuer's 150 years anniversary celebration event on May 19.

Shah Rukh launched a new watch at the event that also saw India's motor racing prodigy and Formula One driver, Karun Chandhok, join Shah Rukh as brand ambassador for the luxury watch brand.

After the event, while at the Delhi airport for his flight back to Mumbai, Shah Rukh tweeted:

"in the airpor lounge & writing. wish there was a twitter in heaven...could write to parents. maybe should have gone to their burial place.

"tag was fun & very hot. delhi is burning.always enjoy tag outings...babin & co of tag r very elegant and fun. launched the pendulum watch."

Shah Rukh's father Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom activist. His mother Lateef Fatima was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan, who served as a General in the Indian National Army of Subash Chandra Bose.

Khan's father came to Gurgaon from Qissa Kahani Bazaar in Peshawar before the Partition of India, while his mother's family came from Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
