It has been a long twenty years ago that ShahRukh Khan had been seen in the role of the soldier called Abhimanyu Rai. Now there is news flying high about him coming back as the daring army man in the same serial Fauji. It was with this serial in Doordarshan that the versatile actor had gained recognition and accolades for his acting potential.
As he became a household name in those days of new serials, he got a wonderful break in the movies with the actress Juhi Chawla in the movie Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. The film was a stupendous success. After that there was no looking back for ShahRukh.
As he climbed the ladder to success with superb movies like Deewangi, Baazigar, Daar, Anjaam etc he was very much in demand in spite of doing negative characters in many of these films.
Gradually he reached the highest rung in the league of romantic heroes. Then, came a series of hit films like Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayeinge, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kal Ho Na Ho, Main Hun Na, Baadshah and Chalte Chalte to name just a few.
After establishing himself as the King in bollywood he again ventured out into television following the footsteps of Amitabh Bachchan.
The Kaun Banega Crorepati hit show on television hosted by Big B in the first season was carried forward by our King Khan. Even that proved to be a hit with the audience. Then came another show ontelevision called Paachvi Paas, this had mixed responses. But now as he is all set to come back in his original avatar on television as a brave soldier everyone is eager to see him.
We guess, some people just never get old, and especially if it’s someone like ShahRukh, then no one really minds.
