Shahrukh, Big B and Hrithik rock the ramp

It was 'We Are Family' time at KJo's show at HDIL Couture Week

Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan dazzled as the showstoppers for Karan Johar and Varun Bahl's show at the HDIL-India Couture Week in Mumbai, but it was Shah Rukh Khan who stole the show with his dimpled smile and spontaneous dancing.

With Big B and Hrithik walking down the ramp, the audience couldn't have asked for more, but there was a bonus.

As the two showstoppers - Amitabh Bachchan dressed in a black overcoat with aviators and Hrithik in a military jacket - came to take the final bow with the designers, Karan suggested that they get King Khan, who was sitting in the first row, on the ramp too.

So they walked back and Big B gave his hand to SRK, pulled him onto the ramp while the audience, which included a host of Bollywood celebrities, cheered and clapped seeing the three 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' stars walk together.

Then SRK broke into a jig and asked Amitabh and Hrithik to join in too.

It all ended with much male bonding as Shah Rukh hugged the Big B and Hrithik, wishing them "All the best".

The big stars on the ramp apart, Karan's show had a galaxy of celebrities in attendance - Preity Zinta, sisters Karishma and Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor with daughter Sonam, Rani Mukerji, Shah Rukh's wife Gauri, Hrithik's wife Suzzane, Urmila Matondkar, Raveena Tandon, Rahul Khanna, Dino Morea amongst many others.

The celeb quotient sure set the ball rolling for the designers.

Talking about the number of stars spotted during his show, Karan said: "The idea was to get people together with whom I connect personally. It was all about having friends and family supporting you."

The designers showcased a power-packed menswear range on the ramp.

SRK starrer ‘Don 2’ to roll by the end of November in Germany

SRK has a challenge to face after the super duper success of ‘Robot’ which has redefined Indian cinema’s sci-fi and e-quotient.

After completing the planned climax for his most ambitious ‘Ra.One’, the energetic Badshaah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan will then start working for the much awaited sequel to the super hit ‘Don’.

The marathon first schedule of 100 days will be held in Germany at the end of November. SRK’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment is targeting to complete the major portions of 'Ra.one' before that. Another European city is also in the look out.

‘Don 2’ will be helmed by Farhan Akhtar and will have Priyanka Chopra opposite the King Khan.

Mahesh Manjrekar's play on SRK

While Mahesh Manjrekar may be friends with Salman Khan and is in talks to direct the actor's home production, he has named his next lavish trilingual play after Sallu's rival Shah Rukh Khan. It's called Mee Shahrukh Manjarsum-bekar.

Manjrekar's play is about the common man's hopes and dreams. He confesses that he decided to name the political parable after Shah Rukh the moment he began writing it.

Says the director, "Shah Rukh's connectivity with the masses makes him the perfect symbol of modern India."

The play is in three languages Hindi, Marathi and English and tackles different political issues and scandals. He explains, "Every season will deal with a different issue.

It could be the MNS insisting that only Marathi songs be played in pooja pandals, or the match-fixing scandal... the politics around the common man changes. The common man remains the constant."

The play hits theatres across Maharashtra from 16 October 2010. It is expected have at least 1000 performances in all three languages.

While Manjrekar plays the lead in English and Hindi, Siddharth Jadhav plays the common man in the Marathi version.

Shah Rukh epitomises the common man's dreams, explains the director. "The play is about the aspirations, hopes and daily struggles of the common man in Maharashtra.

I thought SRK is the best symbol of the ordinary man's extraordinary dreams. He shares every common man's dreams. He is the true working-class hero."

No IPO plans for Red Chillies as of now: SRK

Bollywood actor-turned-producer Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday said he has no plans to list his production and distribution company--Red Chillies Entertainment.

Red Chillies, an Indian motion picture production firm, was founded by Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan along with actress Juhi Chawla in 2002.

The company also has a visual effects studio known as Red Chillies VFX.

"I have no plans to come out with any IPO for Red Chillies. I have very less knowledge and experience of the stock market and investment unfortunately. I am happy my friends are here and feel good whenever a media company gets listed on the stock exchange," Shah Rukh Khan said at the listing ceremony of global distribution company Eros International.

King Khan, who reached late by 5 min, experienced the listing after the company and the host BSE literally turned back time for the superstar.

Red Chillies, which has produced some big-ticket movies such as Main Hoon Na, My Name Is Khan, Chak De India, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Drona, Om Shanti Om, Dostana and Kurbaan, is currently a part of sci-fi thriller Ra One.

SRK to make 'Ra.One' more visually stunning than 'Robot'.

Shahrukh Khan, who is investing his time, money and passion in the sci-fi thriller and home production Ra.One, is on his toes these days. Why? Because of south superstar Rajinikanth’s mega hit Robot (Hindi) or Endhiran (Tamil) which has become a rage at the box office and bowled over the viewers with its out-of-world special effects.

Quite aware of the fact that there will be comparisons between Robot and Ra.One when the latter releases in 2011, SRK is eager to make his film more visually stunning than Robot.

We hear that a meeting was held on Sunday at SRK’s residence Mannat. The film’s director Anubhav Sinha, sound recordist Resul Pookutty and Shahrukh watched the rushes of Ra.One together and later locked in a brainstorming session over how to make the film better.

It’s being learnt that SRK is gunning for an unprecedented climax in Ra.One by making it an interactive gaming session for audiences. If the superstar manages to pull it off, it will be the first ever movie climax where the audiences get to decide the end by playing a game.

Now, that would be some coup!

Suhana and Aryan are both champs at National Taekwondo Competition

Shah Rukh Khan is a proud daddy. Both his children - son Aryan and daughter Suhana - bagged gold medals at the 6th National Taekwondo Competition 2010 Juniors and Sub-Juniors held in Mumbai.

Aryan is 13 years old, and Suhana is 10.

"Son and daughter won gold in taekwondo nationals. Suhana was like a newcomer (aggressive)...Aryan fought like a thespian (technical)," Shah Rukh wrote on his Twitter page.

The competition was organised by the Maharashtra Taekwondo Academy Monday.

Last year in October, the Korean government had chosen Shah Rukh for an honorary belt in taekwondo.

Bipasha Basu wants to be Shahrukh Khan

Bipasha Basu who has just completed a decade in the industry has worked with a range of actors during this period. But she says, “If given a chance to be a man, I’d choose to be a hero. A hero’s life is so much easier than a heroine’s.”

We probe a little more and she reveals, “I would want to be Shah Rukh Khan. He is intelligent, a creative actor and a business man. He is making pot loads of money and at the same time living a good life,” She adds, “I believe if you achieve so much fame and money in life, you should also translate that and live a good life. I see SRK having fun.”

The actress also lists herother favourite co-stars. Beginning with her debut film, Ajnabee, Bipasha is of the opinion that she would have never become an actress had it not been for co-stars Bobby Deol and Akshay Kumar’s support. “I shall always be thankful to them. They were big stars at that time, but they made me feel at ease.”

Up next is actor Ajay Devgn who she considers a close friend. “Ajay and I share an interesting chemistry. I would want to thank him for being a fantastic co-star and a great friend.”

She is also very fond of the young heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor. Bipasha worked with the Kapoor munda in Bachna Ae Haseeno and can’t stop praising him. “Usually I get along with all my co-stars, but Ranbir and I became great friends. He is one of my most favourite people and I love, love, absolutely love working with him.”

Last but not the least, Bips also adds John Abraham’s name to the list. “John and I look fabulous on screen and have crackling chemistry. He thought I looked my best in Jism,” she grins mischeviously.
