SRK and Arjun: Painfully happy!

While Shah Rukh Khan is nursing an operated shoulder at home, his good friend Arjun Rampal is dealing with some ‘back’ issues too.

Like they say... friends in joy and pain, huh? Shah Rukh is smartly using his recovery time (his sutures were removed last week) as a script-reading vacation. Of course, everything is second to the special time allotted for his bachchas. After the great response to Billu, SRK has taken a keen interest in a variety of scripts, especially the kinda roles he hasn’t donned in the past. On the other hand, the Rampal dude is a rockstar after all, and pains of such kinds... whether it’s in the neck, back or dil, for that matter, can’t stop him working his butt off.

And well, with the coveted ‘lady in black’ (the Filmfare Award, dearies) for company, we wonder if he’s feeling the aahs and ouches anymore. Arjun is shooting for Rajniti in Bhopal, and he’s accompanied by his personal trainer for this schedule. On some days the pain is so excruciating that he can’t sit up for too long, and the back exercises brings him some relief. Hmm... poor boy, the business of politics is taking a toll on him already? Take some advice from our very own Sunju baba, no? Dutt’s a good idea, wotsay? And we’re guessing that SRK and Arjun are sharing their pain with each other... dard baatne se kum hota hai, that’s what they say, hai na?

After Anushka Sharma now Malaika Arora Khan would be seen as the celebrity judge this week in Red Chillies Idiot Box’s Knight and Angels, the reality show hunting for cheerleaders for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on NDTV Imagine.

Is Sushmita upset with Shah Rukh

“We won’t miss Shah Rukh and Saif. We don’t look back, we look forward,” said Sushmita Sen when asked about the hosts at the Filmfare Award night.

Apparently, Sush who was in good books of SRK seems to be upset with him. It is known that Sushmita’s dear friend Muddasar Aziz makes his directorial debut with Dulha Mil Gaya. This Sushmita starrer film also stars King Khan in a special appearance.

It is believed that SRK got annoyed on his producer friend Vivek Vaswani who was promoting the film on Shah Rukh’s name. This irked SRK and that’s why he refused to shoot the little scene which in turn delayed the film’s release. Sushmita got snubbed with Shah Rukh’s this act.

Last year had been a bad year for Sushmita, who hardly had a release. Now when she has only one film in hand SRK did not co-operate. Do we see another friendship going sour in the tinsel ville?

Shah Rukh adds glam to his TV show!

Look who’s cheering for Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team cheerleaders... five of his Bollywood lovelies!

King Khan has got Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Minissha Lamba and Malaika Arora-Khan on his reality series to select cheerleaders for the forthcoming Twenty20 tournament. The tall and perky Anushka Sharma, SRK’s debutant co-star in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, set the ball rolling on Saturday and even joined the aspiring cheerleaders in doing jhatkas and matkas on the TV show. Points are awarded for energy, style, chutzpah, poise, personality, attitude, grace, rhythm and fire. Naturally, the Bollywood Badshah’s jury members score high on these counts themselves.

Designer Mandira Wirk worked on maintaining a high glam quotient on the screen and has dressed up Lara in a wine hued short dress, Malaika in a short olive green dress with crystals studded on it, Deepika — who walked as a model for Mandira at a fashion show in Delhi, in something really spectacular. And, there’s Shiamak Davar leading everybody through her steps. So there’s dance, glamour and Bollywood, a heady combo indeed, now let’s wait for the cricket matches.

SRK to work with Ghajini director

There is more on the Aamir-SRK front. After the success of Ghajini, grapevine has it that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has decided to work with director A.R Murugadoss.

While there isn't any clear indication about who approached who, sources at SRK's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment say that the two are indeed in talks for Murugadoss's next film.

According to reports, the role that Murugadoss has now reserved for SRK, was actually meant for the star of the original Ghajini, Surya Sivakumar.

It seems Murugadoss has put his plans of returning to Tamil cinema on hold as the biggest Bollywood superstars make a beeline for him.

Shah Rukh to host Indian version of `The Moment of Truth`

Shah Rukh Khan has been approached to host what is being touted as the boldest show in the history of Indian television. Star Plus is reportedly after SRK to convince him to take the centrestage on Indian television yet again with its high profile show ‘The Moment of Truth’.

According to reports, Shah Rukh is all set to take on the helm of the Indian version of an American game show by the same name. The contestants of this show have to answer a series of 21 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions to receive big cash rewards and since SRK is known for his upfront and candid ways, the actor turned out to be an obvious choice for it.

Tele gurus suggest that the show is famous for its bold treatment at least in its original format and if the show retains that format then it is definitely going to create a stir among the Indian audiences.

Our source says, "SRK has been approached and Star is hopeful that he will be giving his nod to the show”.

I don't count my prayers: Shah Rukh Khan

Let me begin this with a folklore by the famous sufi poet Bulle Shah. He once saw a woman, carefully measuring and counting each cup of milk before giving away to every passerby who happened to ask for it.

After some time, walked in a man to whom she handed a cup of milk without measuring or counting the number of cups. Bulle Shah was a little surprised when he saw this. Bewildered, he asked her the reason for such generosity to a particular man. To which she replied, “The reason I didn’t measure the milk is because I love this man, and in love you don’t count what you give or get.” That’s the philosophy I follow in life and the way I connect with God.

I love God, in my own way. I am a firm believer in Him; my true friend. I don’t count the times I pray to Allah, because I am always praying in my heart...I don’t need to show how I pray or count how many times I pray. I don’t seek God. I find Him in everything and everywhere. The first time I prayed to God was when my mother lay dying. I never prayed earlier, that’s the kind of family we were — a regular Muslim family but one which didn’t have any hard and fast rules about praying. I really prayed hard, but she died all the same. That’s the irony of prayers.

I feel closest to my parents when I close my eyes in prayer. That’s how I connect with God. I count my blessings but I don’t count my prayers. Allah has given me so much love through my fans and the people around me — I couldn’t have asked for bigger blessings! I have no fear, because I believe in God.

Will Shah Rukh Khan host Filmfare awards this year

Will Shah Rukh Khan host Filmfare awards this year or will he be replaced with younger faces like Ranbir and Imran Khan. Imran Khan is the nephew of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan launched him in his home production film Jane Tu Yaa Jane Na. Now he is ready to challenge the leading Bollywood faces in a very short spell in Bollywood.

After his shoulder surgery at the Breach Candy hospital which was performed on 16th February many might have thought that Shah Rukh Khan would sit back at home to recovers from his surgery.

But it was said later that the workaholic actor Shah Rukh will indeed host the show. He had apparently given his nod to organizers following the surgery.

For King Khan’s sake the awards ceremony was postponed to March 7 which were previously slated for February 28. It was slated to be Khan's second time as a host in Filmfare Awards. Shah Rukh co-hosted the 53rd Filmfare Awards in 2008 with Saif Ali Khan.

It seems that he has taken the advice of Amitabh Bachchan rather seriously. After Shah Rukh Khan’s surgery Amitabh Bachchan not only called Shah Rukh but also went to see him at his house. He asked him to comply with the advices of his physicians.

Aamir Khan Vs SRK: Who will win the Best Actor award

If Aamir Khan has no qualms tagging himself as No.1, SRK takes great pride in proclaiming himself King Khan.

If one is a perfectionist, the other believes in making fans smile through his onscreen persona. While the two most popular Khans take potshots at each other, we give you a chance to play critic to their performances in Ghajini and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi ...

With nominations in the Filmfare award for the Lead Role, who do you think stands a well deserved chance to take home the ‘beautiful black lady’ at this year’s 54th Idea Filmfare Awards? Will it be Aamir for his intense lover act in Ghajini or SRK for his sweet and simple Suri avatar in Rab ne Bana di Jodi ...?
