Big B and SRK come together once again!

The eternally romantic filmmaker Yash Chopra is all set to direct a film after a gap of four years. His last film was Veer Zaara (2004) with Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee.

The industry buzz is that this time too Yash Chopra will be making his next film with his two favourite actors, Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan who will also play a pivotal role in the film. Needless to say, the film will be an out-an-out love story.

Our source says, “Yash Chopra has recently finalised the script for his next film. Contrary to rumours, his next film is not a remake of Kabhi Kabhie. He is making a fresh romantic film with Shah Rukh Khan. Yashji has also spoken to Amitabh Bachchan about the film and has bounced off the idea of casting him.”

When contacted, Monica Bhattacharya, official spokesperson of Yash Raj Films, says, “Yashji is busy finalising the script of his film but he has not finalised the cast yet. He will speak to the actors only when the script is ready. As of now he is busy with Aditya Chopra’s film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.”

Shah Rukh Khan breaks Rajnikant's record!

Shah Rukh Khan is often referred to as ‘King Khan’. He is easily the superstar of cinema, not only in Bollywood but in the entire country. He has not only held his own but has surpassed the legendary Amitabh Bachchan in popularity as well as remuneration. He proved this once again when he hosted the popular game show KBC on Star TV after Amitabh Bachchan took ill and could not continue.

Shah Rukh Khan or simply SRK has now gone ahead and broken another record. Till recently superstar Rajnikanth was the highest paid actor in India. No other actor came anywhere close to him. But the honor now goes to SRK. He is now charging 30 crore per film against Rajnikanth’s 25 crore. This steep hike is due to the entry of corporate companies into film making. SRK is rated as hero who can be given Rs 30 Cr keeping the target market in consideration.

Action hero Jackie Chan is easily the highest paid actor in Asia. He commands a whopping 50 crore per film. Looking at the way SRK is going, it may not be too difficult for him to break this record too.

SRK's Sporty look in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'

Almost thirteen years ago, a young Shah Rukh (Raj) and a nubile Kajol (Simran) wooed the audience with their romantic escapades in the local trains of Europe in Aditya Chopra's DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAAYENGE. And its once again the heartthrob of billions of girls (women too!), Bollywood's global superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, who is out to make many a hearts flutter with his (still) drop dead college boy looks, as he took the debutante Anushka Sharma on a ride, atop his gleaming high end Suzuki bike.

Yes, we are talking about the shooting of an important scene from Aditya Chopra's RAB NE BANA DI JODI, which required King Khan in a college boy look. And one must commend that the forty plus Khan looked every bit a college guy in his gelled, punk hairstyle, cool blue jeans and funky tee-shirt and had the local girls swooning and screaming.

In fact it might sound exaggerated but Shah Rukh looked even more handsome than he did in DDLJ. Anushka too looked graceful and traditionally good looking in a simple white and green salwar-suit and she appeared every bit a part of her character. She was seated behind SRK on the bike and the scene had Shah Rukh riding the bike right up to the front of the famous Khalsa College (Amritsar), the venue of the shoot. It was a five minute shoot and the unit had booked the entire Khalsa College for the purpose.

Shah Rukh in love with a 'mutiyar'!

Just two days in Amritsar and King Khan is in love! As all must have already guessed, we are talking about Shah Rukh Khan, who is in Amritsar for the past few days, shooting for RAB NE BANA DI JODI. Since it's a Yash Raj project, there is a lot of secrecy concerning the story of unquestionably the most awaited movie of the year. And why not? After all, it brings back the director-actor 'jodi' of the iconic DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAAYENGE (still running in its 672nd week in Bombay!) and MOHABBATEIN. Naturally, the moment the unit arrived in Amritsar, there was (and still is), a frenzy, both amongst the media as well as the fans of superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, in order to catch a glimpse or have a word with Bollywood's global superstar.

After the initial shooting stint at the famous Golden Temple earlier this week (as has been widely reported in the media), the venue has now shifted. Wednesday saw a traditional Punjabi marriage ceremony (some are saying that it was a 'mehndi' ceremony) taking place at the posh Queen's Road, and the venue was Kapoor Guest House. The whole unit as well as the director, Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra were present for the shooting. The atmosphere was seeped in Punjabi culture (seen in countless Yash Raj super-hits!), complete with girls dancing 'gidda' and boys swinging to 'bhangra', dressed in traditional Punjabi finery and clothing. Once the 'mehndi' ceremony was complete, there was the marriage ceremony. Shah Rukh was dressed in traditional Punjabi clothing and accompanying him were the relatives who arrived at the Kapoor Guest House and headed for the place where the marriage ceremony was taking place.

A member of the crew tells us that it is at this ceremony that the 'younger' SRK falls in love with his 'mutiyar' (beautiful, young Punjabi girl), played by model-turned-actress, Anushka Sharma!

As we file this report, the shooting venue has shifted to the famous Khalsa College, but more about that later!

Shah Rukh Khan`s 'Mannat' gets him into trouble again

Controversies just dont seem to leave Shah Rukh Khan, who has been hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons this year. He has now landed up in yet another trouble and this time its no gossip or hearsay, it's purely legal this time around and concerns his 'Mannat'.

The Mumbai High Court on Thursday issued a notice to King Khan over the charges of illegal construction in his palatial bungalow Mannat. The court has also asked the state government and the Bombay Municipal Corporation to explain on what grounds did they allow the alleged illegal construction.

This is not the first time that the actor's house is in trouble. In the past too several complaints have been filed against King Khan's royal estate.

This time round, however, the house is facing the heat over the construction of a seven-storied building in the backyard. A social worker had filed a filed a PIL last month, before the Bombay High Court against the alleged illegal construction.

The PIL also alleged that the actor has further violated the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification, 1991, by getting his land classified in the relatively liberal CRZI, when, according to the petition, the plot was in the highly restrictive CRZ-II classification.

The work on the bungalow is also said to be in violation with the statutory Heritage Regulations, which regulate that the new building has to be of the same height as that of the old building and that it should have architectural attributes in harmony with the old structure.

SRK, Aamir to perform together

Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have never featured in a film together. But if all goes well, the two actors may perform together in SRK's Temptations show in Germany.

Apparently, SRK has sent feelers to Aamir to attend his world tour, as he has not been able to rope in big stars, other than himself.

The Bachchans are obviously out, as they have just finished their own Unforgettable world tour in Europe, Canada and USA. Akshay Kumar, who seems to be threatening SRK's top spot in the industry with his blockbusters, also performed in the recent Unforgettable tour.

After their spat in Katrina Kaif's birthday party, Salman Khan is no longer good friends with Shah Rukh.

Among the heroines, Priyanka Chopra may join SRK in his tour.

Shah Rukh may have to depend on his good friends Arjun Rampal and Malaika Arora Khan, to join him on the tour.

Sallu refuses to sing SRK song on 10 Ka Dum finale

New chapters keep getting added to the SRK-Salman tussle with every passing day.

Reconciliation is out of the question. At least from Salman's side. The actor does not want to be even remotely connected to anything to do with SRK.

Recently, during the finale of 10 Ka Dum when Rani Mukerji was the guest on the show Salman refused to sing a song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. A source present at the show reveals, "It is a known fact that Rani is close to Shah Rukh and as well as Salman. The actress has done various numbers of movies with both the actors. When she came for the 10 Ka Dum finale episode the actress even mentioned the fight between the two actors to which the host simply smiled and didn't comment. After a few minutes, when they started to have a little fun with the singing and dancing. That's when Rani asked Sallu if he would sing the song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the movie that featured the three (Shah Rukh, Salman and Rani) together. Sallu simply refused to sing any song from that movie. The actor then later sang a number from a movie which featured Rani and himself."

This is the first time anyone has gone on Salman's show and talked about his fight with King Khan. Although the actor was uncomfortable, he stayed calm and refrained to make any comments against his new dushman.

A Sony insider confirms the incident, "Rani did ask Salman if he would sing the song Sajanji ghar aaye... from K2H2. But Salman refused her request outright. We aren't too sure if all of it will make it to the final cut of the show."

SRK makes silent entry to Amritsar

Excitement gripped the city residents, who were pleasantly surprised when film star Shah Rukh Khan arrived here last evening for the shooting of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, a Yashraj film.

Fans in multitudes gathered around the hotel where he was scheduled to stay. However, in an attempt to avoid being mobbed by fans, Khan made a backdoor entry in a filmy style.

Yash Chopra, director of the movie, has also been camping in the city for the past couple of days. Khan, who was later approached with requests of autographs, obliged his fans and got pictures clicked.

He shot a scene at the Golden Temple early this morning and another later in the evening. The shrine was flooded with devotees and movie buffs, who had been waiting there since wee hours to have a glimpse of King Khan.

Their wait was finally rewarded when Khan, sporting a moustache and attired in a white shirt and black trousers arrived in a white Mercedes. He later also paid obeisance at the shrine.

“I still find it hard to believe that I have seen Shah Rukh Khan in person,” said Simran, a college student, who had gone to see the shooting of the movie.

However, Rani Mukherji fans were not as lucky. As the word spread that Rani would arrive in the city by afternoon, fans began to pour in the hotel. The fans were left disappointed as Rani did not turn up. There was speculation that Rani might reach tomorrow, while other stars, including Anupam Kher and Rakhi Sawant, too were expected to come for shooting.
